Freedom, safety, hope, a peaceful future...

That's what we seek and pray for the people of Myanmar. And yet for so many communities, minority ethic groups of Myanmar, their reality is so cruelly different to how it should be.

💙Join with Baptist Mission Australia as we support loving ministry in Myanmar and border areas.

With your support you can help us provide urgent humanitarian supplies, stand alongside hurting people, enable kids to get an education, help pastors be equipped with trauma skills and see a new generation of leaders equipped for mission.

Today is World Teacher Day! We celebrate the wonderful and vital work of all teachers. In particular today we uplift the amazing teachers working in the midst of unpredictable and extremely challenging circumstances in Myanmar.

As part of Baptist Mission Australia's partnership with Sharing Hope, we have just sent funds to support for teachers in five remote village schools in Karen State, Myanmar for 6 months. These schools were established by the Kawthoolei Karen Baptist Convention due to almost the complete lack of Government schools in the area. If these schools didn't exist children in these villages would inevitably end up without any education and labouring on their parent's farms or married far too young.

Give to support our ministry partners in Myanmar: https://baptistmissionaustralia.org/projects/myanmar-partnership/

Pray with us for these teachers, schools and families. Give thanks for their resilience and faith in the face of fear and adversity. Pray for peace in Myanmar, that all people can live safely in their communities!

Jean-Claude and Joyce have been so encouraged as they have visited partner churches! Here are some joyful photos from the past months in Australia.

Thank you to all the church communities and individuals who are standing with them and their impactful ministry in Malawi. You are equipping them to share God's love through word and deed. God bless you!

Not sure where to start with Walk the Walk? Take a look at the Prayer Walk Picnic:https://baptistmissionaustralia.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/WTW-Prayer-Walk-Guide.pdf

This is best done in a group, or ideally as a whole church. After a service, use the guide to go on a prayer walk, pray for your community and the world, then meet back together in a local park for a picnic or BBQ. It’s community building, intergenerational, simple and fun!

"Spending time in Penang with 40 young Asian leaders was one of those experiences that has stayed with me. These young leaders are interested in a gospel that is at home in the plurality of the real world. They want to know how to work across borders and streets without the old hierarchies and assumptions of mission reasserting themselves. They asked about how Baptist agencies can work together, including our connections with associations in places like Mizoram and Nagaland. We already have such a rich history with workers in these places." - Geoff Maddock, Intercultural Learning Network Director
