Morning all

My actions of last week were totally uncalled for and I sincerely apologise to all past and present members of the Gotba & participants. At no stage did I name any persons in the public domain ,any of those were added by others via social media . My only concern was to change or slow a process being dealt on licensed owners & participants .My actions were born out of frustration of the treatment of licensed owners & participants being served lawful orders after a third party lodged an appeal .

Thank you Craig Treherne

Please see below email received from GRV Chief Steward Paul Searle in regards to wearing Bibs on rainy days.

As discussed at Geelong recently, I confirm that Handlers Bibs do not (normally) need to be worn over the top of Wet Weather jackets - when it is raining.

If wet weather is occurring, we do not require the handlers to wear their bibs over the raincoats. i.e. they will only get saturated and be unable to be worn when the rain stops.

There may be occasions where a person continues to wear a raincoat after it has ceased raining and raincoats are no longer practically required to be worn. In that situation, if a handler wanted to continue to wear their raincoat; then we would direct/request them to wear the handler’s bib over the top.

Whilst we do not want the situation whereby participants wear raincoats instead of handler’s bibs because it suits them (and there is no specific need to wear the raincoat) we also do not want handlers’ bibs to be worn over raincoats when it is stormy, showery and raining and they will get wet.

Happy for you to pass this onto the GOTBA.

Warm Regards

Paul Searle
