Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry HACCI is the leading organisation linking Hellenic Australian businesses and professionals

HACCI was formed nearly 30 years ago in 1986 for the purpose of promoting and strengthening the economic and cultural ties between Australia and Greece. Through the years, the Chamber has hosted and co-sponsored functions, events, cocktail receptions, investment seminars, trade delegations, conferences and has also hosted and supported political leaders from both sides of government. The Chamber today is a multifaceted organisation that offers different things to different people and provides a forum for its members to meet, interact and exchange knowledge and ideas. It is a vehicle from which to gain an additional perspective and influence change as a united voice. The Chamber has also fostered the HACCI Business Excellence Awards through which many Hellenic Australians and philhellenes have been recognised for achievement not limited to commerce alone, but has also included politics, academic achievement, the arts, young achievers, community service and philanthropy. We invite you to become an active member of HACCI and we look forward to seeing you at our next event.

โญ๏ธ If you have ever been to the annual HACCI Excellence Awards ๐Ÿ† Gala Ball, you know that you can expect top-class ๐ŸŽถentertainment.

โญ๏ธ This year, weโ€™re bringing you one of the most acclaimed modern ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ท Greek singers, Nefeli Fasouli, flying โœˆ๏ธ straight from Athens to Melbourne!

โญ๏ธ Equally at ease at the stage of an entekhno - laรฏkรณ venue, an open-air ๐ŸŽต jazz festival, or a rock club, Nefeli Fasouli has become one of the defining voices of contemporary Athens.

โญ๏ธ A versatile vocalist who made a name for herself ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ working with singer-songwriters like Fivos Delivorias, laรฏkรณ champions like Dimitris Bassis, introspective entekhno craftsmen like Antonis Apergis, and the legendary Maria Farantouri, Nefeli has built a unique and ever-expanding songbook ๐ŸŽถ blending the traditional styles with modern pop, rock, and jazz references.

๐ŸŽผHer music is in constant conversation with the past ๐Ÿบ bringing timeless ideas to the here and now.

๐ŸŽผHer latest project, โ€˜Wyrdโ€™, echoes the 1960s soundscape, looking at the Greek and oriental rhythms and modes through a psychedelic ๐Ÿชฉ pop kaleidoscope.

โญ๏ธ On her first visit to Australia, Nefeli Fasouli is making a stop at the Plaza Ballroom on Friday 13 November, to take the stage at the THE 2026 HACCI EXCELLENCE AWARDS GALA BALL ๐ŸŽ‰ and take our guests on a musical trip through Athens After Dark.

๐ŸŒŸ Join her and join us: enjoy the music, savour the three-course gourmet meal, and raise a glass of excellent๐Ÿท w**e - from one of Greece's best w**e-makers, Nico Lazaridi Winery - to honour the HACCI Excellence Award winners.

๐ŸŒŸ Celebrate the best and brightest among our vibrant community, and enjoy a night of cultural pride, connection, dancing ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•บ and glamour.

One of our most loyal, longest-standing members, SalaryMasters has a very special message for you:
You might not need a new car to save on tax - the question most people don't ask.

โœ… When people think about salary packaging a car, they often assume they need to find a new car and enter into a traditional novated lease arrangement.
This works well as a tax saving strategy if you are set on getting a new vehicle, but if this isnโ€™t you, there is another question worth asking:

โœ… โ€œCan I salary package the family car I already own?โ€

๐Ÿ‘ The answer maybe yes โ€” and the potential difference to your household ๐Ÿ’ต cash flow could be significant.

๐Ÿš˜ In simple terms, a Family Car Benefit (also known as an Associate Lease) can allow a vehicle owned by your spouse, partner or adult child to be leased to your employer and incorporated into a salary packaging arrangement, with no finance involved.

โœ… Depending on your salary, the vehicle and your household circumstances, the potential benefit ๐Ÿ’ต can be thousands of dollars per year.
๐Ÿ’ฐFor some families, that could mean $15,000โ€“$30,000+ worth of tax savings over five years.

โœ… So the question is: are you leaving money on the table ๐Ÿ’ธ by simply paying for your family carโ€™s operating expenses from after-tax income?

๐Ÿ’ต SalaryMasters have put together a simple guide explaining how the Family Car Benefit works, who should consider one, and what the potential savings could look like.
