Last year, we had the privilege of supporting the sewing project with a new cobbler machine.

The project is led by Aunty Veronica, who runs the sessions each day and teaches the children skills they can carry with them.

This sewing space has become a place where children can slow down, learn with their hands, and build confidence. With the addition of the cobbler machine, the program can now grow beyond clothing into shoe-making and repair. This opens up another practical skill and new possibilities for the young people in their care.

We love showing up and supporting our friends at Rafiki Mwema 🧡

Right now, the world feels heavy. 🌍
The cost of living is rising everywhere, and we feel it too.

At Rafiki Mwema, we carry the responsibility of:
• 45 full-time staff in Kenya who our children depend on
• Hundreds of children who rely on us for safety, healing, and hope
• Children in court cases who need us to stand beside them and fight
• Those still trapped in abuse, waiting for someone to keep showing up
• Animals on our farm
• Food, water, electricity, maintenance
• Vans, fuel, and public transport for our outreach team
• And so much more… the list feels endless, just like it does for families everywhere

We truly understand when people need to pause or cancel their donations. 🤎
We never want anyone to give beyond their means.

But we want to be honest.
In just the last 30 days, over 40 sponsors have had to cancel.
That gap is enormous for us, and it hurts deeply.

We’ve been quieter on social media over the past few years, but the work hasn’t stopped.

During this time, we’ve continued partnering with grassroots organisations to provide practical tools, equipment, and support that directly strengthens their programs.

Over the coming weeks, we will begin to share some of the projects we’ve been part of, how those partnerships work, and the positive impact they’re having on the lives of vulnerable children.
