What’s going on with shipping right now?

If you need to know what’s going on with shipping right now or just interested in how current world events are changing shipping then don’t miss the opportunity to hear from the President of the International Transport Federation and outgoing National Secretary of the Maritime Union of Australia Paddy Crumlin at The Mission to Seafarers Victoria Fund Raising lunch on 28 May 2026.

Join us for our Inaugural Seafarer Session Luncheon, providing an opportunity for the Maritime and Transport sectors and those interested in the world of shipping to gather together and engage in a range of relevant topics – from comical to controversial, political to personal, but always entertaining! Our special Guest Speaker Paddy Crumlin will provide insights and a live Q and A Session.

Feel free to stay on after lunch and network with friends and colleagues at the bar!

Tickets include a 2 course lunch including beer, wine and soft drink. Individual tickets are $150 and tables of 10 for $1,250

There has been an explosion of ukulele popularity in Australia with over 100 ukulele clubs springing up over the Country..
Sally Carter performs as Sally's Ukulele – her first love is Celtic tunes and songs…….from fast toe tapping tunes featuring daredevil acts of musical bravery to beautiful, soulful songs and melodies played from the heart. When Sally performs in the Campanella style on her high G ukulele, she brings out all the harp-like qualities of this beautiful instrument. Sally performs on her two tenor KLŌS ukuleles at festivals and events. Her shows take people on a journey with plenty of banter and good fun thrown in!

Sally has recently returned from Canada and the US where she performed in concert, ran ukulele workshops and co-facilitated a ukulele retreat in Grand Lake, Colorado.

Sally has written eight ukulele books. These include ensemble books for beginners through to more advanced, solo and duo ukulele music, and one of her latest books ‘Campanella Ukulele’.

Shanties are setting sail again every Thursday at the Mission to Seafarers, 7 - 10pm!

First timers welcome! No skill required, but joining in the choruses (or leading a song if you're brave) is encouraged!

Purchasing drinks and snacks from the bar also encouraged to support the mission in providing assistance to seafarers.
