We’re delighted to introduce Fiona Jose, our new Girls from Oz Patron.
Fiona is a respected Australian executive, board director and social impact leader whose career has been dedicated to creating opportunity and strengthening the capability of people, communities and organisations. A Kuku Yalanji and Zenadh Kes woman with strong connections to Cape York, Torres Straits and Far North Queensland, Fiona has spent more than two decades leading and contributing to significant reforms across education, employment, health, economic development and community empowerment.
As Patron of Girls from Oz, Fiona brings a deep commitment to the power of investing in girls and young women and to creating the conditions in which they can thrive. She shares g-oz’s belief in the transformative potential of confidence, creativity, connection and opportunity, and in ensuring that girls in remote Australia have every opportunity to imagine—and build—an expansive future for themselves.
“I am deeply humbled to step into the role of Patron for Girls from Oz. Empowering young Indigenous women through the transformative power of arts, culture, and connection is a vision very close to my heart. I am thrilled to help amplify these incredible voices and I look forward to supporting the creation of meaningful pathways, building confidence, and celebrating the extraordinary talent of our young women. This is indeed a true honour to join Girls from Oz as Patron.” Fiona Jose – g-oz Patron
We feel very fortunate to have Fiona as our second Patron following Dame Quentin Bryce AD CVO who remains a very strong advocate and supporter.
