The Melbourne Prize Trust, established in 2004, provides financial and professional development opportunities to artist by running the annual Melbourne Prize, which operates in a three-year cycle as follows:
/ Melbourne Prize for Urban Sculpture (2020)
/ Melbourne Prize for Literature (2021)
/ Melbourne Prize for Music (2022)

Congratulations to Evelyn Araluen, Melbourne Prize for Literature 2024 judge, on being awarded the $100,000 Victorian Prize for Literature and the Victorian Premier's Prize for Indigenous Writing, worth $25,000.

What a wonderful achievement!

Eveyln Araluen has taken out the top award at the Victorian Premier's Literary Awards for The Rot, the follow up to her award-winning debut, Dropbear.
