To our incredible Unite to Fight Cancer community,

After much consideration, we've made the difficult decision that Unite to Fight Cancer will not be running in 2026.

Since 2018, you've walked, run and ridden to honour loved ones, support those affected by cancer and raise vital funds for cancer research. Together, you've created an incredible legacy, and we can't thank you enough for every kilometre, every dollar and every act of generosity.

While this chapter is coming to a close, our commitment to funding life-saving cancer research is stronger than ever.

💜 “This isn’t just my journey — it’s yours too.” — Sheila

In 2012, Sheila was diagnosed with breast cancer.

From that moment, everything changed. Alongside her husband Andrew and daughter Catherine, she helped build a movement that has now raised over $130,000 for life-saving cancer research at Peter Mac.

Cupcakes baked year-round. Kilometres walked in the Melbourne sun. Years of showing up — again and again.

And through it all, one belief stayed the same: we can make a difference if we do it together.

In 2025, that belief grew even bigger when Sheila & Andrew became Dollar Match Day partners for Unite to Fight Cancer, matching donations and helping triple the impact for life-saving cancer research.

💜 “Research gave me a future.” — Dee

Six years ago, Dee joined Unite to Fight Cancer.
Not just as a participant — but as a patient.

After being diagnosed with myeloma in 2019, Dee experienced first-hand the power of research at Peter Mac — from treatment to remission, and beyond.

Since then, she’s raised over $22,000 to help fund the next research breakthrough.

“The new drugs and trials give me a future to look forward to…I’m forever grateful. It gives all of us patients so much hope.”

And she’s not alone.
