While AI presents significant opportunities, it is also enabling state-sponsored cyber actors and cybercriminals to identify vulnerabilities, develop exploits and conduct attacks at greater scale and speed. As cyber incidents continue to increase, organisations must focus on preparedness and resilience.

The presentation will highlight the five key actions ASD is asking organisations to prioritise: reducing legacy IT, implementing effective event logging, strengthening supply chain security, preparing for post-quantum cryptography, and the secure use of AI.

The presentation will conclude by reinforcing the importance of collective action to strengthen Australia's cyber resilience in an increasingly complex threat environment.

Congratulations to Girls Grammar School, winner of the 2026 iAwards Student Award for Uniqueable.

Created with young people aged 13–17 in mind, Uniqueable is an app designed to support teenagers with disabilities across some of the challenges they may experience in everyday life.

The app addresses areas including social isolation, emotional regulation and mental health, bullying and stigma, academic performance and employment, and access to support services.
