Pinoy Association of Workers and International Students - PAWIS

Our Objective and Purpose:

-We aim to provide education, information, and training to our members on the many problems that impact Filipino workers and international students in a broader context while also relating these concerns to our own circumstances.
-Facilitate aid and collaborative assistance to enhance the well-being of participating individuals via the provision of referrals.
-Collaborate with various Filipino organisations to promote the rights and well-being of our members, other Filipino workers and international students.
-To advance their rights and welfare, foster alliances with workers and international students from diverse nationalities, advocates, and similar institutions and groups.
-Enhance cohesion and solidarity among the members of PAWIS.

The Mission and vision of Pinoy Association of Workers and International Students - PAWIS of our organisation is to foster a sense of togetherness and cohesion within our community, specifically promoting the shared values and aspirations of the people residing in Victoria, Australia.

How Was PAWIS Formed?

In 2023, PAWIS was formed to network all Filipinos living in Australia against social and economic injustice faced by Filipino workers and international students in Australia. PAWIS continues to support newly embarked Filipinos all over Victoria, Australia.

Presently, PAWIS members are as follows:
Lorenz – President, Finance Broker
Hope – Vice President, Physiotherapist
May – Secretary, Lawyer
Amabel – Treasure, IT Expert
