Killara Cafe at Mt. Atkinson is a social enterprise committed to empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and the local community of Mt. Atkinson. A cafe for social good, we aim to promote like-minded businesses and producers, whilst
showcasing native and local foods.

Killara Cafe is your one-stop shop for delicious coffee, a selection of First Nations artisan foods, and general pantry items. We engage with First Nations suppliers and social enterprises to ensure your purchase creates local positive impact.

What is a social enterprise?

Social enterprises are driven by a public cause, get most of their income from business trade rather than from donations and grants, and use at least 50% of their profits to work towards their social mission.

Your purchase from Killara Cafe goes far beyond the coffee or pastry, it support's our mission to promote nutritional native foods, and create meaningful employment pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Killara Café, in partnership with Stockland Mt Atkinson, are seeking to provide pantry offerings to locals and we want your input on what that will look like and what we stock!

We have started with a few small items like milk, bread, rice and other items but need your help in informing what you would like your customer experience to be.

*Noting the space is relatively small we are currently working with Stockland to maximise our offering whilst still delivering our new cafe model

Killara Café has developed a new menu utilising nutrient-rich native ingredients that also reflects the local community of Mt. Atkinson. Serving up belonging and cultural connection, alongside delicious food, our menu includes options such as Macadamia Granola, Sri Lankan Breakfast Dosa, and a native-inspired Curry of the Day.

Now your one-stop shop for delicious coffee, a selection of First Nations artisan foods, and soon to be general pantry items!

Easter Trading Hours!

Killara Café will be closed for Good Friday and Easter Monday, however will be trading as normal Saturday 10am-4pm.

There are some exciting changes happening at Killara Café Mt. Atkinson!

We are currently developing a new native-inspired menu that also reflects the local community.

Through our recent Touch, Taste, Smell Event which was lead by Chef Greg Hampton, we were able to bring many communities together and provide a better understanding of First Nations Culture over delicious food.

We hope to showcase this through our ongoing food offering, whilst also introducing a general store model that provides a selection of general pantry and fridge items.

We are also looking to revise our opening hours to ensure a high quality service throughout the week. Stay tuned through our socials and at the café for when these changes will be made!
