We’ve been sold resilience as bubble baths and boundaries.
But real resilience is collective care — neighbours checking in, parents sharing meals, communities holding grief and hope together.

🌍✨ Podcasts for hope + action (when the world feels heavy)

If you’ve been feeling the weight of the world lately — the grief, the chaos, the headlines — you’re not alone.
But amidst it all, there are still voices helping us imagine new possibilities, take action, and stay tender in the face of it all. 💚

Here are some of my favourite listens right now:

🎧 The Great Turning – Joanna Macy &
Wisdom and perspective from one of the great elders of our time. For when you need to remember that grief and hope can coexist.

🎧 Outrage + Optimism
A shot of energy from the frontlines of climate diplomacy — practical, passionate, and surprisingly fun.

🎧 Green Dreamer
Conversations that dive deep into regeneration, decolonisation, and the systems beneath the surface.

🎧 RSA: Regeneration Rising
Big ideas for a thriving future — where innovation meets social imagination.

🎧 Planet Critical
Sharp, evidence-based analysis of the climate crisis and the power structures that shape it.

🎧 RISE with Sarah Wilson
Philosophical, fiery, and deeply human. For when you need to turn despair into action.

🌱 Whether you’re walking, cooking, or doomscrolling — these are the voices that help me remember:
There’s still so much worth fighting for.

In an uncertain and rapidly changing world, the skills we will need most are curiosity, creativity, resilience, adaptability, and experimentation — the core skills of design. What core skills do you think are needed to tackle uncertainty?

Design teaches us to stay open to new ideas, respond to feedback, and accept that we don’t always have the answers. It’s about constant learning, adjusting, and evolving.

The best way we can prepare our kids for the future is to nurture these design skills early. And it can start with simple questions:

What can we learn?

How can we learn?

Who can we ask?

What can we build?

How can we test it?

How can we improve?

Resilience grows as a byproduct of this loop. Failure becomes not something to fear, but a necessary step toward success. Kids who know they can figure things out eventually learn that failure is part of moving forward.

This is how we raise resilient kids for an unpredictable future.

I just finished reading From What Is to What If by Rob Hopkins — and it reminded me that imagination isn’t a luxury. It’s a survival skill.

So much of our world is designed to dull it — endless screens, relentless productivity, the myth that “realism” is more valuable than wonder. But the truth is: without imagination, we can’t build anything new.

“If you fall in love with the imagination, you understand that it is a free spirit.
It will go anywhere, and it can do anything.” — Alice Walker

Imagination is the starting point for all change.
Every movement, every invention, every act of courage began as a small spark in someone’s mind — the audacity to ask, what if?

If we want better futures — for our kids, our communities, and the planet — we have to make space for imagination again.
To daydream. To play. To listen to the wild ideas that visit us when we slow down.

Because the futures we can’t yet imagine are the ones most worth fighting for. 🌱

I was hoping to launch my marketplace this year — something I’ve been dreaming about for a long time.
But if I’m honest, it hasn’t felt right.

The world feels different now.
Heavier. More urgent.
And launching another “platform” in a moment of collapse, genocide, and deep systemic failure felt… misaligned.

So I’ve paused.
Not to give up — but to dig deeper.

I’ve been asking myself:
✨ What is mine to do, now?
✨ What are the skills I already hold that can be of service?
✨ How can I help others take meaningful action — as parents, as citizens, as humans — in this moment of change?

What’s emerging from that inquiry is something new — and older at the same time.
It’s called Future Seeds 🌿

Future Seeds is about designing regenerative resilience for families, communities and systems.
It’s about tending to what’s still alive and growing — our children, our courage, our capacity to imagine.
It’s a space to explore how we can live, parent and take action in alignment with life itself.

So instead of rushing a launch, I’m planting roots.
Writing. Listening. Building slowly.

If you’ve followed me here for my work on circularity, resilience, or systems design — I hope you’ll stay.
The shape may change, but the mission hasn’t: to help us find new ways of being that can hold the future with love, courage and creativity.

This is just the beginning 🌱
