These are the Musahar people. In Nepal, they are the untouchables. Not so for us and certainly not for Christ.

For everyone that helped our interns raise more than 11K for anti trafficking in Nepal, bless you greatly… every single cent is passed onto our partners New Light Nepal.

This is what you’ve done…

Speech:
Hi everyone,
My name is Iona.
My friends and I have come all the way from Australia.
We have come all the way here to support the work of New Light Nepal, and to support the work you have done in this MAT course.
It is an honour to be standing in a room of people who have dedicated themselves to this course.
It is an honour to be standing in a room of people who have put in so much effort to educate themselves.
It is an honour to be standing among people who will fight for their daughters and families.
You have not just gotten knowledge from this course, you have gotten power.
You have the power to change the story of your family.
You have the power to change your community.
It might not look as enticing as the promise of a well paying job, but this power you now have is true, it is loving, and it is just.
We honour you.
The future of your village is brighter because of you.
The future of your village will have valued daughters and wise mothers and fathers.
And we know that even families who aren't in this room today will be changed by the knowledge and determination you carry.
So we want to extend our deepest congratulations to you today.
Thank you.

YD interns at the girls orphanage today

Nana is a single lady whose home was destroyed in Nepal’s recent catastrophic floods. Please continue to pray for Nepali people. Out of the news cycle at home but a daily wrestle here for survivors.

YD interns are back in Nepal. We’re on our way to a graduation service for Nepali women who have been taught to resist trafficking by our partners New Light Nepal.

On the way, we travel through flood damaged regions that after seeing the carnage, reminds us to pray for those suffering today.

The target for YD's contribution to New Light Nepal's Anti-Trafficking Fundraising this year is 15K. Our interns are working super hard, but we are 5K short of our target. Today, I'm reaching out to ask for your help.

I'm looking for someone to donate a 5K gift to girls in Nepal or 5 people @ 1K each.

Two issues have prompted the ask.

1: Today, I received $45 from a 12-year-old's pocket-money savings to pass on to New Light Nepal to protect girls... truly a widow's mite.

2: Poverty and vulnerabilities foster trafficking opportunities. Sadly, the recent flood swept away the husbands, children and homes of a number of ladies who recently graduated from NLN's anti-trafficking program. Bhuvan pictured below) is assisting.

Help us protect girls this year. 15K will protect 1800 girls from ever being trafficked in the first place! Now that's a Kingdom-type investment.
