The Victorian Immunohaematology Discussion Group (VIDG) is an educational discussion forum for medical scientists and any other professionals interested in Immunohaematology. VIDG aims to provide a range of quality educational meetings in the field of Immunohaematology and related disciplines for our members. VIDG is a non-profit special interest group run by a committee of volunteers who are invo
lved in, or who are working in the field of Immunohaematology and/or related topics. Public hospital laboratories, private pathology laboratories and Australian Red Cross Blood Services (ARCBS) are invited to host VIDG meetings. Hence monthly meetings are held at different venues across Melbourne throughout the year. The meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday of each month, commencing in February. Guest speakers are also invited to present at our meetings including overseas guests. VIDG is managed by a committee which is elected each year at the VIDG Annual General Meeting. VIDG Membership is open to anyone with an interest in Immunohaematology or related topics. To apply for membership, a membership application and subscription form must be completed.
-The applicant must be nominated by a financial VIDG member.
-The cost of yearly membership is currently $35. (Financial year is 1st July to 30th June)
-Student concession membership is $25. VIDG is a non-profit special interest group with an annual turnover of less than $50,000, and as such does not require or qualify for an ABN and cannot charge GST. Incorporation Number A0047254M
