Climate action is a conversation away

Climate for Change is a volunteer-powered, not-for-profit organisation on a mission to create the social climate for effective action on climate change. Our plan is to facilitate face-to-face conversations about climate change with enough people to shift the social climate around climate change in Australia.

No thanks. It’s time to say goodbye to fossil fuel sponsorships. 👋

Shell has contributed more than $10 million to Queensland Museum since 2015, and now this funding is being used to create misleading educational materials for classrooms.

Yup. They’ve left out fossil fuels as the primary causes of climate change, (to promote Shell's brand) AND they’ve frame fossil fuel careers as part of the solution!

Julie didn’t start as an activist. She simply decided staying quiet was no longer an option. Democracy works, but only if we speak up and demand change. That’s exactly what we’re teaching people to do. 😄🙌

Talking about climate change might seem small, it’s actually one of the easiest ways you can make a difference.💚

💡 Here’s why: Most Australians already know about climate change. Scary information and negative headlines makes it easier to ignore what’s happening around us, because we feel powerless and confused.

Climate Conversations give you helpful resources, tips and ways you can take meaningful and realistic action on climate change (like contacting your MP).

Climate for Change is built upon the foundation of our incredible volunteer network. Without you all, we truly would not be here.

This week is National Volunteer Week, so we wanted to celebrate our volunteers who are driving change and advocating for effective climate action (but if you asked us, we’ll tell you that our volunteers should be celebrated everyday!).

Here’s to all of our hidden heroes at Climate for Change who rarely get featured in our newsletters or socials. You keep us ticking so that all our awesome programs team can get our messages into the world.
