On Tuesday Barrbunin Beek in partnership with Banyule City Council held a National Sorry Day Healing Ceremony. The ceremony was held to honour the resilience of the First Nations community affected by the removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.

Thank you to Uncle Colin Hunter Jr for your moving welcome, Our mayor for her heartfelt words, Brent Watkins and Culture evolves for the Yidaki and dancing, our amazing young leaders, Kiarnah, Cooper and Marley for reading poetry and Kristen for being the MC.

A huge thank you to Reconciliation Banyule for putting on the BBQ and Banyule's First Nations team for making sure everything went smoothly

It was an amazing ceremony and we want to thank all who attended to share the experience with us.

Our Reconciliation Week events continue tomorrow with our Family Day and Mob Market at Barrbunin Beek tomorrow from 11.30 am to 3pm. Hope to see you all there.
