JUST TRANSITION | A just transition is about more than changing how we power our world. It is about making sure the transition is fair, inclusive and creates a more liveable future for everyone.

Australia's representative on the World Energy Council Future Energy Leader Program, co-founder and co-chair of Future Energy Leaders Australia and Climate Reality Leader Michelle Howie reflects on what a just transition means in the energy context. She shares why meaningful change depends on bringing people along, and why the process is rarely linear. It is often complex, messy, and shaped by the people involved, making the journey just as important as the outcome.

YOUTH FOR COP | The third edition of Youth for COP is creating a space for young people from across the world to build their understanding of climate negotiations, share perspectives from the Global South, reflect on lessons from , and prepare for .

Our colleague Karen Aguilera recently represented The Climate Reality Project - Australia & Pacific at the 2026 opening ceremony, bringing together around 400 young participants from more than 100 countries.

During the opening ceremony, Karen joined Climate Reality colleagues and climate leaders from across the world to share insights and perspectives on the road ahead.

2025 ANNUAL IMPACT REPORT | Climate Reality's 2025 Annual Impact Report is now available.

The report showcases the progress our global network has made over the past year to strengthen global climate leadership, finance a just transition, and reduce emissions. Behind every milestone are people, communities, and Climate Reality Leaders working together to drive meaningful climate action around the world.

We're proud to be part of this global 4.5 million-strong network and especially grateful to the 2,500+ Climate Reality Leaders across Australia, Aotearoa, and the Pacific whose passion, leadership, and advocacy continue to create change in their communities and beyond.

OPPORTUNITY | The Oxford Climate Leadership Research Centre is recruiting a new cohort of leaders from politics, business, and sport to explore the role of leadership in supporting climate action.

CLIMATE STORYTELLING WORKSHOP RECAP | We were so grateful to spend the afternoon with a wonderful group of climate leaders, coming together to explore the power of climate storytelling with the incredible guidance of Anika Molesworth.

Throughout the workshop, we reflected on why climate communication matters, explored how to find and share our own climate stories, and discovered practical frameworks to help us bring our stories to life.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us, shared their experiences, and created such a thoughtful and inspiring space for learning and connection. And of course, a huge thank you to the wonderful Anika Molesworth for sharing your knowledge, energy, and passion with us throughout the workshop.

We can’t wait to see how these stories continue to grow and inspire action.

PROFILE | Sustainability is about more than reducing waste or changing habits. At its core, it is about leadership, connection, and rethinking the systems that shape how we live, work, and consume.

We had the privilege of speaking with Climate Reality Leader, founder Plastic Free SEA and podcaster, Sarah Rhodes, about her journey from tourism marketing to tackling plastic pollution across Southeast Asia, and how one conversation during Plastic Free July sparked more than a decade of impact.

Reflecting on the role of communication, collaboration, and community in driving meaningful change, she shared why plastic reduction is an important starting point, but not the end goal.
