Join us for an afternoon helping out at the Royal Park nursery! We’ll be “pricking out” seedlings and transferring them into larger tubes for future planting 🌿

📅 Date: Tuesday 21 April
⏰ Time: 1:30–3:30pm
📍 Meeting point: Walmsley House, 161 Gatehouse St, Parkville (easy walk or tram from uni)

All equipment provided + afternoon tea included ☕

Time for another healing nature walk!! Join us for an afternoon exploring Jawbone Marine Sanctuary and looking out for local wildlife along the shore

🕒 Walk starts: 3:00PM on Tuesday 24th of March
📍 Location: Jawbone Marine Sanctuary

🚆 Travelling with the club?
Meet at Flinders Street Station around 2:00–2:10PM (train ride is ~45–50 minutes)

🚗Own transport?
Feel free to meet us directly at the sanctuary at 3PM.

🌅The walk will wrap up around 6 PM

Join us as we explore, observe, and learn about the beautiful biodiversity right here in Melbourne’s Royal Park!🦋🌼🐞
Our Bioblitz will simply work like this
1. We explore an area
2. Photograph or record wildlife that we encounter
3. Observations are uploaded to an app called iNaturalist

When & Where❓Monday 9th of March. Meet at 9:30am at the Royal Park Train Station (around 14 minutes from Parkville campus) The event will run until around 12pm

Bring❓Just curiosity and some comfy shoes

A lot of you have been wondering what volunteering activities we have coming up next, and we're excited to announce that we're partnering with Friends of Royal Park for a working bee on August 27th!! 🐝

We'll be helping them with revegetation to help support native ecosystems 🌱🪏, so dress in comfortable but protective clothing fit for the occasion! Equipment will be provided (along with morning tea kindly sponsored by FoRP!! ☕️💚) Check the images above for more details!

Thank you to all who signed up for our Mt Rothwell volunteering field trip! ⛰️ Most of you should have received the emails confirming your attendance by now. For those who are coming, here's a reminder of what you'll need to bring on the day itself:

* A packed lunch, snacks & water bottle  🍱🚰
* A small torch 🔦
* A sun hat and sunscreen 🧴
* A warm jacket and wet-weather gear  🧥
* A gold coin donation to support Mt Rothwell’s wildlife conservation 🪙
+ wear comfortable clothed that you wouldn't mind getting a little dirty in!

Due to overwhelming demand, we were only able to accommodate some of you, BUT WAIT!! There are still opportunities for you to join us👇:

Luckily for you, we're planning a duo of wildlife walks at Yarra Bend Park, a vibrant pocket of nature located right here in the city! Known for it's colony of grey-headed flying foxes 🦇, this is a valuable opportunity to be taken on a guided tour to learn more about the nature we have in urban Melbourne 🌳🏙️. Tickets are selling fast, so be sure to secure your spot via the link in our bio 🔗!! (Only 14 August tickets remaining!)
