The early days of our research was when Len Kenna researched Hawkers in Victoria, many of who were from the Punjab, India. His first book was a play about 3 Sikh Brothers in the Victorian town of Heywood. The research notes of this play were circulated in 2001 by Len Kenna and SBS Punjabi to publicise the play and forthcoming books. Several people used these these notes including Manpreet Kaur Singh who wrote "Traders of Goodwill" from these research notes. Here is the link to the notes at the National Library of Australia. The sketch by Crystal Jordan on the front was of Sundeep Singh Shergill. https://nla.gov.au/nla.obj-768648910/view
