This Sunday we celebrate International Women’s Day.

At Doxa Youth Foundation, women play a key role across our organisation. They lead programs, support young people, guide teams, and help create opportunities that change lives.

Today we are sharing photos from camp that highlight some of the incredible women who make this work possible. Their leadership, care, and commitment help young people build confidence, skills, and a stronger future.

NAIDOC Week brings community together, celebrates Indigenous voices, culture, and resilience. 2025 celebrates the achievements of those who have come before us, the path that lays ahead of us; a path empowered by the strength of our children and young people.

On Thursday 3rd July, we hosted our annual Sponsor and Cadet Networking Event, a wonderful gathering of cadets, sponsors, board members, and friends of Doxa.

It was a chance to reconnect, share stories, meet and celebrate the impact of the Cadetship Program. The room was filled with inspiration, gratitude, and hope for the future.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to support the Doxa Youth Foundation.

I joined the Doxa Cadetship Program while studying a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Finance) and working at QBE as a cadet. From day one, Doxa made me feel like I belonged in the same room as some of the smartest people in the world, and that feeling stuck with me.

The program didn’t just open doors. It gave me the confidence to walk through them.

After QBE, I spent time at EY as a vacationer and later a graduate, then moved into financial analyst roles at UNSW and News Corp. But my biggest leap came later, stepping away from salaried roles and into entrepreneurship.

My first business was a flower shop that failed. My second, a marketing agency called If and When, I eventually sold. Those experiences taught me more than any job ever did. Today, I run two businesses I genuinely love: INH Transport, a freight company based in Sydney, and Credle, a new venture helping people finance IVF and egg freezing.

The journey hasn’t been linear, but Doxa gave me a mindset I still carry, that no room is too big if you back yourself

David and Effie from our Cadetship team had the pleasure of catching up over coffee with William Nguyen, a proud Doxa Cadetship alumnus.

It was inspiring to hear about William’s professional journey and how he’s navigated his career to reach his current position. His story is a testament to resilience, growth, and the power of opportunity.

We look forward to sharing his story with you soon!

At DOXA Malmsbury Camp, we are super lucky on a clear night to have an amazing view of our solar system!

With the help of some new Planispheres (star maps), students from Mount Pleasant PS were out stargazing last night, learning all about the constellations visible at this time of year!

On May 7th, we hosted our very first Doxa Cadet Workshop for 2025. It was an incredible interactive session where students discovered the power of networking and how it can shape their future careers.

The Doxa Cadetship Program is all about empowering young minds, providing them with the tools and connections they need to succeed. Whether you're looking to build your professional network, gain valuable insights, or simply meet like-minded peers, our workshops are the perfect opportunity to do just that!
