Today, 30/05/2026, we were incredibly proud to see our children participate in a beautiful cultural performance at the Eid Festival held at Al Siraat College.
Our young stars confidently took to the stage, presenting an engaging performance about Eid that they had worked hard to prepare. It was truly heartwarming to witness their excitement, creativity, and teamwork. Seeing our youth grow in confidence and proudly express their identity is a joy beyond words.
The children not only performed brilliantly but also demonstrated great courage in sharing their talents with the wider community. Moments like these remind us of the importance of nurturing their skills and providing opportunities for them to shine.
We extend our sincere thanks to Al Siraat College for giving the Libyan Women Association the opportunity to showcase our children on stage and share our mission with the broader community.
We are immensely proud of our children. Today was a wonderful celebration of culture, confidence, and community, and a reminder of the bright future that lies ahead for our young generation.

Today, 2nd of May, the Libyan Women Association proudly delivered a Cybersecurity Awareness Session in collaboration with WIRE.

This session is part of our ongoing partnership with WIRE , which has been a strong supporter of our community by engaging and hiring peer educators from within the Libyan community. This aligns closely with our mission of empowering women and building capacity from within.

We were pleased to address some of the most important and growing challenges in our community, including cybercrime, hacking, and online bullying. The session was highly engaging, informative, and created a valuable space for discussion, learning, and awareness.

A special thank you to Bassant Mansour for her participation, collaboration, and support in planning and delivering this session.

We look forward to continuing this important work together and supporting our community with knowledge and skills that keep them safe and informed.

Libyan Women’s Association Sports Day: Connecting Youth and Children Through Friendship and Play.

The Libyan Women’s Association organized a lively outdoor event during the school holidays, bringing together boys and girls to connect, play, and build friendships away from electronic devices.

The day was successfully coordinated in collaboration with Samar and Osama Akkad , whose strong leadership at a young age made a remarkable impact. Their understanding of youth allowed them to engage participants in a natural, fun, and meaningful way. Youth members Moayad, Anas, and Alaa also played an important role in supporting, supervising, and connecting with the children.

In addition to sports and friendly matches, the event included meaningful discussions. A special session with Samar, where girls asked about her studies and university experience, was particularly inspiring and relatable.

As Director of the Libyan Women’s Association, I am truly proud of these young role models. We are committed to supporting and empowering them as they continue to make a positive impact in our community.

Salam Alaikum,

On 14/04/2026, we held a beautiful multicultural family event during the school holidays. It was a joyful day where children played, mothers connected, and families shared special moments together in a warm and welcoming environment.

We were delighted to welcome families from diverse backgrounds and new members to our growing community, which now includes over 250 members.

A special thank you to Ms Ekram for her wonderful story time session — the children truly enjoyed it, and Arabic storytelling will now become part of our programs.

Thank you to everyone who attended. We look forward to many more gatherings together!

On April 7, 2026, members of the Libyan Women’s Association had a well-organized and enjoyable visit to the Islamic Museum.

The association arranged the trip using public transport, taking advantage of the Australian government’s initiative to make public transportation free. The journey was smooth and pleasant for all participants.

The visit was especially meaningful for mothers and their children, who spent a valuable and enjoyable time together. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the museum team for their excellent support and cooperation. Their professionalism was clear at every stage, from communication and coordination to welcoming us and assisting us during the visit.

We invite you to view the photos, which reflect the beauty of the place and the happiness and engagement of the children.

The day continued with a visit to the park, where the children enjoyed playing and socializing. It was a comprehensive and enriching day that combined learning about Islamic identity and its importance in Australia, physical activity, and strengthening social connections.

The group included families from different nationalities and backgrounds, which helped to build strong relationships and a sense of community.

This activity reflects one of the main goals of the Libyan Women’s Association: to support identity, connection, and community engagement in a positive and inclusive environment.
