Tomorrow we are kicking off our brand-new Enviro Film Club series with a very cool lineup of Australian documentary shorts. These are urgent stories of activism and advocacy happening right in our own backyard.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce the final film for tomorrow’s lineup: Corals' Last Stand. 🪸

Perched on the edge of the continental shelf, 300km from the Australian mainland lies Scott Reef. Follow the voyage of a team of prominent Australians including author Tim Winton and musician John Butler as they travel to the reef to bring worldwide attention to the impact that drilling will have on a very special and important place.

🎬 Screening as part of Enviro Film Club, Sun 24 May at . Tickets via https://environmentalfilms.org.au/upcoming/film-club-may-26

In November 2024, two Indigenous ranger teams set out on a 1,900-kilometre journey from the remote community of Bidyadanga in Western Australia to Uluru.

Their destination: the largest gathering of Indigenous desert rangers in Australia — the Indigenous Desert Alliance Conference.

This documentary follows what began as 20 rangers became a powerful convoy of over 90, as they arrive together in the heart of Australia.

Screening as part of Enviro Film Club, Sun 24 May, at Champagne Video Bar. Tickets just $12 at https://events.humanitix.com/enviro-film-club-may-26

Yes, we've been quiet on socials recently, but that doesn't mean we've been quiet on screenings!

Over the past few months we've had the pleasure of supporting Yarra City Council and Yarra Libraries with the Yarra Environmental Film Festival and Macedon and Mount Macedon Landcare with their ongoing Movies On The Mount series.

We've also been working on two very exciting events coming up later this month (news to follow soon!)

As volunteers, we've had a gap in our team to support with socials and marketing, which is why we've not been as active on here as we'd like!

If you'd be keen to keep our community connected with what's happening (or would like to support our events and programming in other ways), then good news - we're recruiting! Find out more at ethicaljobs.com.au/members/envirofilmfestival/executive-and-committee-positions-voluntary
