Finding humans for cats & cats for humans since 2016. We advocate for responsible cat ownership & cat welfare in the greater Melbourne area. We specialise in rehoming much loved cats and kittens who need new homes through no fault of their own, as well as surrendered cats and kittens. We also provide trusted advice on cat health, wellbeing and behaviour to our adopters and supporters so their cats can live their best lives! We are all volunteers and we donate our time, money, and resources to save the lives of cats in the Melbourne, Victoria area. While we do have the support of local vets, all our expenses are paid out of our own pockets. Cat People of Melbourne started in 2016, when we saw a need for a support structure for the people who provide temporary homes for street cats and orphaned kittens and help them be rehomed. Cat People relies on the generosity of the community to support the cats and kittens in our care. Please considering fostering, volunteering, supporting or donating today!

Tobias Torrens has a new friend, or possibly enemy - the waving cat.
We know they are supposed to attract attention (and business) to an organisation, and Tobias' is playing very close attention to it, so we guess it worked.

If you would like to be friends with Tobias, please let us know here: https://www.savour-life.com.au/adopt-a-cat/search-now/view/149512

Cricket is a lovely cat who likes to snuggle.
But...
If you leave breakfast too long, he will be helping himself to whatever he can find on your kitchen counter...

If you would like to adopt someone who will help get you out of bed in the morning, please let us know here: https://www.savour-life.com.au/adopt-a-cat/search-now/view/149500

Sometimes having three black foster cats can been a little spooky - like when you walk in on what is clearly a void cat only discussion about you.

If you would like to have a spooky presence in your life Asher, Loken or Minnie Moo would love to hear from you (and discuss you behind your back).

This week we are having a Francesca Moo appreciation post!
She loves wrestling with her siblings, "helping" her mum with dinner, chasing balls and cuddly toys, and snuggling under blankets with her human.

If you would like to adopt Francesca, please let us know here: https://www.savour-life.com.au/adopt-a-cat/search-now/view/151572

Adey and Teena were found living under a house by one of the CPOM foster carers, and are now waiting for their forever home at Cat Cuddles Hotel, where they are enjoying meeting some new feline faces, and in Adey's case, having lots of opportunity for cat soccer games.

If you would like to meet and greet Adey or Teena (they are able to go to different homes) please let us know at the links below:

Madam Marissa Moo is pleased to see her human is up and awake. But hopefully not too much awake to not fall into her cunning belly exposure trap!

If you would like to be trapped by Madam Marissa Moo, please let us know by emailing adoptions (at) catpeople.org.au

Trixie Clarke loves head scritches, but she also likes to make you work for it just a little bit by staying at the edge of your arm reach.

Shadow Slim Shady is now at PetStock Ferrars Street where he will be taking note of all the delicious foods that you have in your shopping. He would like to live in a house where he can eat decadently, in the fashion that he is used to.
