Is your recruitment process finding the best candidate, or the person best able to navigate the process? 🔍

For many neurodivergent people, application forms, CV expectations, interviews and assessments can create invisible barriers that make it harder to demonstrate their strengths.

Join Andy Ryan for a Divergent Discussion exploring recruitment through a neurodiversity-informed lens.

Together, we’ll discuss:

✨ Where invisible barriers appear during recruitment
✨ How bias can influence CVs, interviews and assessments
✨ What inclusive recruitment looks like in practice
✨ How candidates can navigate inaccessible processes
✨ Practical changes that help organisations recognise potential

A fair recruitment process shouldn’t test someone’s ability to overcome unnecessary barriers.

⏰ A reminder for managers, HR and People leaders...

Before your next performance conversation, ask yourself one question:

"Have I explored whether this person has the support they need to succeed?"

Sometimes what looks like poor performance is actually:
• unclear expectations
• executive functioning challenges
• competing demands
• sensory overload
• communication differences
• unmet access needs

Changing the question can completely change the outcome.

If you're leading people, supporting employees, or simply want to build a more inclusive workplace, don't miss this important conversation with Caitlin Hughes.

Together we'll unpack the difference between performance issues and access needs, and explore practical ways to create workplaces where neurodivergent people can thrive.

Yesterday, my son turned 23.

For years, I wondered whether we would ever get to see the young man I saw yesterday.

He was bullied at school. Bullied at his part-time job. Tricked into making poor decisions by people who thought it was funny to take advantage of someone who was wired differently.

He was isolated by teachers who didn’t understand him.

And through his teenage years, the mental distress became so significant that he was hospitalised and intubated multiple times.
There were times when we genuinely wondered whether he would survive.

Yesterday, I watched him celebrate his 23rd birthday.
He’s working in a data entry role and thriving. And at his birthday drinks, some of his work friends came along.

Not my friends.
Not family friends.
His friends.

People he had met himself. People he had connected with and built friendships with. People who wanted to be there to celebrate him.

I stood there watching him laughing and enjoying himself, and I had tears in my eyes.
Just pure happiness.
I could not be prouder of him.

It also reminded me why belonging matters so much.

Finding your people isn’t just a nice-to-have. Being somewhere you are accepted, included and valued can be critical to our mental health and our ability to thrive - in life and at work.

It’s one of the reasons I built Kaboose.
Because I know what isolation can do.
And yesterday, I got to see what belonging can look like.

What happens when organisations hire people for their differences, then manage them for sameness? 🧠

Many neurodivergent employees are recruited for their unique strengths and perspectives, only to enter workplaces that reward conformity.

The result? Masking, withheld ideas and talented people learning that fitting in feels safer than contributing differently.

Join Robert Annis for a thought-provoking Divergent Discussion exploring:

✨ The invisible expectations suppressing neurodivergent talent
✨ The effects of masking and psychological safety
✨ Why disclosure and individual adjustments aren’t enough
✨ How strengths-based leadership can help people thrive
✨ Practical ways to create more neuro-inclusive workplaces

If organisations genuinely value different ways of thinking, their systems need to support them.

What if wellbeing wasn't about trying harder, but about understanding what your brain actually needs?

For many neurodivergent people, traditional wellbeing advice can feel exhausting, unrealistic, or simply doesn't work. Sustainable wellbeing isn't about forcing yourself into someone else's routine. It's about finding strategies that support you.

Join us for a practical and thoughtful Divergent Discussion with Starkeeper Morton, hosted by Karla Pretorius, Clinical Lead at Kaboose, as we explore wellbeing through a neurodivergent lens.

Together we'll discuss:
💛 What wellbeing really means
💛 Neurodivergence, stress and burnout
💛 Managing energy and executive functioning
💛 Building sustainable routines
💛 Self-compassion and self-acceptance
💛 Creating environments that support wellbeing
💛 Practical strategies you can use every day

Ever spent all day thinking about a task that would take five minutes?

You know what needs doing. You want to do it. You may even be getting increasingly stressed about not doing it.

But starting still feels impossible.

That gap between intention and action can be an executive function challenge—not laziness, carelessness or a lack of effort.

When my brain won’t cooperate, more pressure rarely helps. Less friction does.

I try making the first step almost ridiculously small:

→ Open the document→ Put one plate in the sink→ Write the email subject line→ Set a five-minute timer→ Ask someone to body double with me

The aim isn’t always to finish. Sometimes it’s simply to make starting cost less.

Save this for the next “I know what to do, so why can’t I do it?” day—and explore Kaboose’s Neuro Nuggets for more practical, lived-experience support.

What helps you cross the gap between thinking and starting?

What if the problem isn't performance?

A missed deadline.
Disorganisation.
Inconsistent productivity.
Communication differences.

Too often, these are treated as performance issues.

But what if they're actually signs that someone doesn't have the support or workplace adjustments they need to do their best work?

When organisations focus on correcting behaviour instead of understanding barriers, everyone loses. Employees become frustrated, managers feel stuck, and the real issue remains unresolved.

Join us for a Divergent Discussion with Caitlin Hughes as we explore the difference between performance issues and unmet access needs, and why this distinction matters for every workplace.

Together we'll discuss:
💛 Why access needs are often mistaken for performance issues
💛 The questions managers should ask before assuming someone is underperforming
💛 How workplace expectations can unintentionally create barriers
💛 Practical ways to support neurodivergent employees to succeed
💛 How meeting access needs improves wellbeing and performance

Whether you're a manager, HR professional, People & Culture leader, clinician, educator or neurodivergent employee, this conversation will leave you with practical strategies you can apply immediately.

A late neurodivergent diagnosis can bring answers—but it can also lead you to reconsider your identity, memories, relationships and needs.

There is no single “correct” response. Relief can sit alongside grief. Validation can sit alongside anger. New self-understanding can take time to become practical change.

A useful place to begin:

1. Notice what drains or overwhelms you.
2. Identify the support you were missing.
3. Test small adjustments in everyday life.
4. Communicate specific needs where it feels safe.
5. Keep track of what genuinely helps.
6. Give yourself permission to revise old expectations.

Join us for *A Divergent Discussion with Danielle Cudjoe-Michalski*, an open conversation about life after a late diagnosis—from reframing the past and navigating changing relationships to unmasking, workplace support and rebuilding self-trust.

Save this carousel for when you need it, or share it with someone navigating a late diagnosis.
