🌱 National Tree Day 2026 🌱

What an incredible morning making a real difference for our environment!

A huge thank you to Bayside City Council, Leo Club of Brighton , Sandringham Lions Club, and all the wonderful community members who came together for National Tree Day. Together, we planted around 500 native plants, helping create a greener, healthier future for generations to come.

This is what community spirit is all about. When local organisations and volunteers work side by side, we can achieve amazing things. Every plant we put in the ground today is an investment in cleaner air, healthier wildlife habitats, and a more sustainable Bayside.

Thank you to everyone who gave up their Sunday morning to be part of this fantastic initiative. Your time, energy, and commitment will leave a lasting impact.

The Lions Club of Brighton, in partnership with Bayside City Council, invites you to help make a lasting difference to our local environment.

Come along with your family and friends to plant native trees, connect with the community, and help preserve the beautiful Bayside coastline for future generations.

🎉 Lions Club of Brighton Changeover Night 2026–2027 🦁

What a fantastic evening celebrating friendship, fellowship, laughter and service as we officially welcomed our new leadership team for the year ahead.

Congratulations to our 2026-2027 Committee. We wish every committee member the very best as we continue our shared commitment to serving our community with passion, kindness and dedication.

A special congratulations to Lion Arvinder Singh Puri on being installed as President, and Lion Dave Chauhan on becoming Vice President. Wishing you both a rewarding and successful year leading our club, supporting our members and making a lasting impact in the community.

A sincere thank you to Lion Kumar Swaminathan for conducting the induction ceremony so professionally and making the evening truly memorable. Your support and encouragement are greatly appreciated.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Lion Robert Birch for joining us on the night. Your continued mentorship, wisdom and guidance over the years have been invaluable to our club, and we are grateful for your ongoing support.

Lion Alice Hawker of the Lions Club of Brighton did a bungee jump from the peak of the Auckland Tower in NZ and raised more than $4,800 (including $500 from her club) for the recently completed ITDS (In the Driver’s Seat) event for the blind and visually impaired at the Sandown Race Course.
