This October, we are proud to recognise five outstanding clubs in our District as they celebrate their Charter Anniversaries. From long-standing pillars of the community to our newer, specialised clubs, these organisations represent the heart and soul of Lions International’s mission.

Across these five clubs, we are celebrating a staggering 160 combined years of service to the community. This represents tens of thousands of volunteer hours, countless lives changed, and a relentless commitment to "We Serve."

Our Honoured Clubs
Lions Club of Nunawading – 67 Years A true cornerstone of our District, Nunawading has spent nearly seven decades fostering community spirit and providing vital support. Their longevity is a testament to the enduring power of Lionism in the eastern suburbs.

Melbourne Deaf and Hard of Hearing Lions Club – 48 Years Formerly known as the Chelsea Lions Club, this club has a rich history of nearly half a century. Now operating with a specialised focus, they continue to lead the way in inclusive service and advocacy for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.

Lions Club of Brighton Victoria – 27 Years For over a quarter of a century, Brighton has been a dedicated force for good. Their consistent presence and local projects have made a lasting mark on the bayside area.

Lions Club of Ashwood-Mount Waverley – 11 Years Now entering their second decade, Ashwood-Mt Waverley has quickly become an essential part of our District. Their energy and dedication to local causes showcase the impact a modern club can have.

Melbourne All-Abilities Lions Club – 7 Years The youngest of our October celebrants, this club has achieved incredible things in just seven years. As a leader in inclusive volunteering, they remind us that there are no barriers to making a difference.

A huge congratulations to the members, past and present, of these five clubs. Your dedication ensures that our District continues to thrive. Here’s to many more years of service!

Our Lion Alice proudly represented the Lions Club of Brighton by volunteering as a marshal at Connor’s Run.

It’s a great reminder that “We Serve” goes beyond the Lions arena. We are here to support, volunteer and make a difference across the wider community.
