Casey Comps Welcome to Casey Comps. We are a non profit dance competition. Held in Cranbourne over 4 weekends in October/ November.

Dates for 2026 are 10/11, 17/18, 24/25, 31 October, and 1 November.

💜 CASEY COMPS CHAMPIONSHIPS – Qualification Requirements 💜

To enter a Championship, competitors must have entered and performed the required Open sections during the Eisteddfod.

🩰 Ballet Championship (Junior & Senior)
• Perform 2 dances:
• Classical Ballet Solo (short tutu)
• Character or National Solo
• Must have competed in:
• Open Classical
• Open Character or National

👞 Tap Championship (Junior & Senior)
• Perform a continuous Slow and Fast Tap routine (without leaving the stage)
• Must have competed in:
• Open Tap
• One other Open Solo section

✨ Modern Championship (Junior & Senior)
• Perform 2 dances:
• Neo-Classical, Contemporary or Lyrical
• Modern Jazz/Musical Comedy
• Must have competed in:
• Open Modern Jazz/Musical Comedy
• Open Neo-Classical, Contemporary or Lyrical

🎭 Theatrical Championship (Any Age)
• Perform either:
• Song & Soft Shoe and Tap, OR
• Song & Tap and Modern Jazz/Musical Comedy
• Must have competed in at least 3 Open Solo sections including:
• Song
• Tap
• Jazz/Soft Shoe

⚠️ Championship dances must be different to those performed in the qualifying sections during the Eisteddfod.

📣 Troupe & Duo/Trio Eligibility Update

To provide greater participation opportunities for dancers, Casey Comps has updated the eligibility rules for Troupes and Duo/Trios.

💜 Troupes may include performers who earn income from part-time or occasional professional dance work, attend a full-time dance course, or teach more than 6 hours per week, provided they make up no more than 25% of the troupe.

💜 Duo/Trios may include one teacher, student teacher, dance instructor or full-time dance student. All other performers must be eligible student competitors.

👞✨ Happy International Tap Dance Day! ✨👞

Today we celebrate International Tap Dance Day in honour of the birthday of legendary tap dancer Bill ‘Bojangles’ Robinson. We celebrate the energy, rhythm, creativity and joy of tap dancing and all the incredible tap dancers, teachers and choreographers who keep this wonderful art form alive.

We love seeing the talent and passion for tap on the Casey Comps stage each year and can’t wait to see more in 2026! 🖤

📣 Mark your diaries!

Entries for Casey Comps open on 1st June and will close at midnight on 12th July, or earlier if entry caps are reached.

We understand that many families and studios are continuing to navigate rising living costs and travel expenses, so entries will remain open for 6 weeks to allow extra time for planning and organising.

We’re looking forward to another wonderful year celebrating our amazing dance community 💃✨

Just a quick update to let everyone know that entries for Casey Comps 2026 will be slightly delayed while we complete some behind-the-scenes administrative and technical changes.

As part of this process, we are transitioning from Stardom to CompHQ. We’re looking forward to sharing more information soon and will keep everyone updated once entries are ready to open.

Good evening everyone,

My name is Kristie, and I’m honoured to be the new President of Casey Comps.

A little bit about me — I’m a single mum to two amazing adult sons who both have Autism, and I wouldn’t change them for the world. They are both heavily involved in volunteering, just as I have been for more than 30 years. Helping others has always been a passion of mine, and volunteering in many different ways has allowed me to give back to the community that means so much to us.

I can be a little shy when I first meet people, but once I become comfortable, I’ll admit I can be quite the chatterbox! Above all though, I’m dedicated to everything I do and always strive to do my very best.

I’m really looking forward to meeting both new and familiar faces at Casey Comps this year and working together to continue building a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive community for everyone.
