Applications open for TARA (Technical Alignment Research Accelerator)
TARA is a part-time, 14-week technical AI safety program, running March–June 2026.
The program ran its successful pilot in Melbourne and Sydney in March 2025 (94% recommendation score, 100% satisfaction with program management, 89% more motivated to pursue AI safety careers), and is now expanding across APAC.
Program details:
14-week technical program (7 March – 13 June 2026)
Saturday in-person sessions + independent learning
Covers transformer architectures, mechanistic interpretability, reinforcement learning, and model evaluation
Work in small groups with dedicated expert teacher support
Fully funded (they cover TA, compute credits, and lunches)
Locations: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Singapore, Manila, Taipei, and Tokyo.
Don't feel you need to meet every requirement to apply. They're looking for motivated people with strong technical foundations and genuine interest in AI safety.
