Australia has never spent more on education - yet results are worsening.

In Victoria alone, over $3 billion is wasted every single year just in the state department of education.

TPAA Secretary Edward Schuller spoke with 3AW Melbourne about the ramafications of having centralised schooling, and why we must Go Local to fix our broken education system.

TPAA National Secretary Edward Schuller spoke with the ABC following revelations of the QLD Education data breach.

Sensitive data identifying students and teachers across Australia, but particularly in Queensland and Tasmania, has been stolen and is being held at ransom.

Hackers managed to break into the data storage used by the Department of Education, leaving students and teachers worried about their privacy and safety.

The TPAA has long held concerns, and voiced them directly to the department, that the centralisation of services, decision-making, and data by the government would result in not only inefficiency, but data risks.

National Secretary of the Teachers Professional Association of Australia Edward Schuller joined 3AW Mornings and spoke on why we’re seeing more dysfunctional children in society.

“Children are certainly lacking discipline at home,” Schuller said.

“It’s not good for the child if there are conflicting messages from the teacher to the parent, parent to the teacher around discipline and its very confusing for the children.”

We continue to see issues amongst our youth and it’s a result of lack of discipline in the household. National Secretary of the Teachers Professional Association of Australia Edward Schuller joined 3AW Mornings and spoke on why we’re seeing more dysfunctional children in society. “It’s becom...

VGSA LATEST UPDATE!

It is the firm view of the TPAA, having spoken with members and experienced many of these negotiation cycles in similar jurisdictions, that any attempt by the Australian Education Union (AEU) to strike is nothing but a sinister move to distract you from their failures. And more to the point, it won't change a thing.

The reality is, as long as the 3pc Wage Cap Policy remains in place, your real wages will continue to go backwards.

That is why we have written to the Victorian Government on several occassions about this policy, and also why we developed our Go Local Campaign to pay teachers 25% more!

Read more below 👇

TPAV is advocating for a 43% pay rise for teachers in Victoria, criticising the AEU's past agreements and pushing for meaningful reforms in the education system.

There are serious problems in the state of Victoria.

The crime crisis is putting the lives of principals, teachers and students in peril.

National Secretary Edward Schuller went on 3AW Mornings with Tom Elliott to discuss the alarming knife crime in schools, violent youth gangs, and deteriorating student behaviour crisis.

Today marks 107 years since the signing of the armistice which saw the end of the First World War.

As we reflect on the incredible bravery of the Australian men and women who have fought for our country, we must renew our gratitude for their sacrifices - of which more than 100,000 have made the ultimate one.

Australia's involvement in WW1 is one of great magnitude and bloodshed. A small country just 13 years since federation, Australia answered the call to enter the Great War and more than 62,000 perished - over 1.2% of our total population. More to the point, nearly 15% of all the men that enlisted paid the ultimate price.

To understand the sheer scale of the sacrifices made, that equates to 326,400 dead as a proportion of our population today.

The courage and patriotism of all the men and women who have died for our country has left an indelible mark on our nation's history. There is no greater love than to lay down your life for a friend, and we enjoy the freedoms we have today because of the men and women who have done so.

Let's honour their memory and commemorate their legacy. Lest we forget.

Teachers are being called in to resolve social media conflicts that happen outside school hours. TPAA National President Scott Stanford joined the Today Show this morning to discuss how parents and teachers can work together to address this growing challenge. Teachers want to work with parents, not replace them. Watch the full interview.

Very concerning things are happening in Victorian schools.

Children are undergoing 'social transitions' to become a different gender, without parental consent or knowledge! Parents are completely cut out of education.

The TPAA stands unequivocally against this. Our National Secretary Edward Schuller spoke with Tom Elliott on 3AW Melbourne this morning.
