The classes are free for members of the Cyprus Community of Melbourne & Victoria (CCMV), and anyone interested in attending the dance classes is welcome to enrol as a member of the Community. Dance classes are held every Wednesday evening at the Cyprian Community Building on Lygon Street. We have the great joy of performing our traditional dance at many cultural events. This includes the famous Lo
nsdale Street Festival, Thessaloniki festival at Federation Square and our very own Annual Cypriot Wine Festival. We are grateful to be given the opportunity to display our historic dancing to many different crowds, including the youth, the elderly (performing at Nursing Homes) and our very own proud families. Being part of CCMV is more than just dancing, we get the opportunity to promote awareness about social and political issues of not only Cyprus, but Greece and our home Australia. Finally, we are more than just a group or team, we are a family and the friendships we have formed will most definitely last a lifetime.
