Heart and Resilience on the Frontlines of PNG Healthcare 🇵🇬
I had the profound honor of conducting site visits to the 9 Mile and Lawes Road Urban Clinics in Port Moresby this week alongside the Country Director of Hope World Wide Australia (HWWA).
Witnessing the day-to-day operations of these facilities was a humbling reminder of what true dedication looks like. I want to personally commend the clinical and support staff who serve on the frontlines. Despite an ever-increasing number of patients, these teams serve with all their hearts, providing essential health services to those who need them most.
This visit underscored the vital importance of the partnership between Hope World Wide Australia (HWWA) and Hope World Wide Papua New Guinea (HWWPNG) and National Capital District Provincial Health Authority. By working hand-in-hand, we are able to bridge gaps in resources and provide the support necessary for these local heroes to continue their life-saving work.
To the staff at 9 Mile and Lawes Road clinics, Thank you for your tireless commitment to your community. You are the backbone of the health system, and your resilience does not go unnoticed.
The photos show Dr Mark Timlin getting vitals for a staff member at the clinic who was sick and nursing staff at the Clinic in the treatment section.
