Amplified Victoria/Girls Rock Camp History
“Girls Rock!” is more than just a slogan. depends on the hard work, advice, and support of many individual volunteers, donors and business sponsors. Volunteers are essential to both the existence and the spirit of our camps. The first Girls Rock Camp, Rock 'n' Roll Camp 4 Girls in Portland, Oregon in the USA, was founded in 2001 as a summer day camp. Since then, over 50 camps have been started worldwide, with programs in Canada, Japan, Iceland, Brazil, Bahrain, Peru, Sweden, France and Germany. We value diversity and strive to be as inclusive as possible. Amplified Victoria values diversity of age, race, economic status, gender expression, size, physical ability, developmental ability, musical interests, learning styles, nationality, religion, thought, citizenship status, and sexual orientation.
