Expo exhibitor bookings are progressing well, with only 10 sites left to fill. Once these are secured, I’ll focus on promoting the Boat Show ’n’ Shine as part of the November expo weekend.

The Boat Show ’n’ Shine will be held on Saturday, November 7, in the main arena at the Bendigo Showgrounds. Veterans For Fishing will help run the event, with all funds raised going directly to them in recognition of their support. The Australian Fishing & Outdoor Expo is proud to support Veterans For Fishing and the outstanding work they do for returned veterans.

So polish up your boat, grab an entry form, and enter the Show ’n’ Shine for your chance to win some fantastic prizes.

Well that is another successful trip away for VFF and its veteran participants, the fishing was terrible but the mateship extremely high with veterans from different times and backgrounds socialising in a safe and friendly environment and atmosphere.

A new team of veterans from VFF has arrived at Metung to connect with the local angling community and experience the outdoors with fellow enthusiasts, and after a quick orientation and pre-fishing, they will participate in the Twin River Bream Classic tomorrow.

We would like to take a moment to acknowledge a special achievement that, although not directly related to fishing, is certainly deserving of recognition. Last Friday, Leonie, who selflessly devotes her time to VFF and several other veteran organisations, was presented with a Quilt at Hawthorn RSL Sub Branch in recognition of her commitment to the veteran community 👏. Furthermore, we would like to congratulate Brad from First Class Coolrooms, a regular supporter of VFF's family days, on completing the Kokoda Track. Brad has overcome numerous serious back surgeries in recent years, and his accomplishment is a testament to his determination and an inspiration to others. Hawthorn RSL Sub Branch
