Today I met a hero. Not a footy player who got 40 touches in a game or a movie star who bought 50 homeless people dinner for a week. A real life, deadset selfless hero.
Meet Shonel Daniel . This pocket rocket is riding 14,000kms around Australia to raise awareness for mental health. She is taking on this challenge to show people who
are going through hard times that change is
possible. That if you commit to something; truly
commit - for one year, you can completely
change the direction of your life. You don’t need
to have it all figured out. You just need to start.
Mental health is something she holds very close to her
heart. Too many people suffer in silence. Too
many people feel alone. And too many believe
that su***de is the only way out. She’s riding to show
that it’s not.
This ride is about hope, resilience, and breaking
the stigma around mental health and su***de.
Su***de affects every country, every age group,
every income level, and that’s why she’s chosen to
support a global mental health charity. This is not
a local issue. It’s a human one.
If her journey inspires even one person to keep
going, to ask for help, or to believe that their
future can look different from their present, then
every kilometre will be worth it.
This ride is proof that you are capable of more
than you think, and that change, no matter how
impossible it feels, is always within reach. https://pedalwithpurpose.my.canva.site/
