Recognition isn’t the goal — impact is.

But every now and then, impact gets the moment it deserves.

Gabby Montagnese has been recognised at the Jagajaga Community Volunteer Awards for her contribution to community — from her leadership at Eltham Redbacks to the work driving the Frank Montagnese Foundation.

This is what it’s about. Showing up, doing the work, and building something that lasts far beyond the moment.

Still getting over what an incredible night this was!

The Tour De Cure Treasures of Melbourne Gala was a record-breaker! And it was one we celebrated in style.

Just some of the highlights from an incredible evening.

02/03/2026

$1.34 million.

That is what was raised at Friday night’s Tour de Cure Gala.

An incredible show of generosity in support of life-saving cancer research and community programs. Nights like this do not happen by accident. They happen because people choose to care. They choose to give. They choose to back something bigger than themselves.

We are proud to stand alongside organisations creating meaningful change, and grateful to everyone who contributed to such a powerful evening.

Impact starts with action. And this was action at scale.

As Gabby said so well in her address.

"Together, we're not just attending a Gala. We're changing lives."

Well done to everyone in the room on helping to raise such an incredible amount of money for such a special cause.

An incredible night awaits this Saturday!

The Tour de Cure Treasures of Melbourne gala promises to be another spectacular event to raise much-needed funds for the Tour de Cure mission.

Gabby from the Frank Montagnese Foundation has delighted in helping to plan this incredible event and we can't wait to be a part of a spectacular night that will do so much good for the fight against cancer.

If you're heading along, be sure to say hi and dig deep to support Tour De Cure's efforts to stop cancer in its tracks.

Over the past year, our work has reinforced a simple truth: meaningful change takes time.

While immediate support plays an important role, long-term outcomes are what create stability, opportunity and lasting wellbeing. That’s why we focus on backing organisations and initiatives that think beyond the moment and invest in people over the long haul.

As we look ahead to the year to come, this approach continues to guide the way we support communities and the partners working within them.

As the year draws to a close, we’ve reflected on the partnerships, programs and community efforts that shaped our work in 2025.

From supporting local families through Sunshine Bendigo and Our Village, to backing initiatives that create opportunity, connection and dignity across the community sector - this year has been defined by collaboration and purposeful support.

We’ve stood alongside grassroots organisations, helped amplify long-term outcomes and backed approaches that meet people where they are.

Thank you to everyone who partnered, shared insights and worked alongside us. We look forward to continuing this work into the year ahead.

The Frank Montagnese Foundation is proud to support COTS’ Christmas on the Streets initiative, which brings people together on Christmas Day to share food, connection and care with those experiencing homelessness or isolation.

Christmas can be one of the most difficult days of the year for people living through hardship, loneliness or mental health challenges. Initiatives like this ensure no one feels forgotten and that dignity remains at the centre of support.

We acknowledge the volunteers and frontline workers who continue to show up with compassion, not just on Christmas Day, but throughout the year.

We contributed to Our Village’s Festive Appeal Matching Pool, helping extend the reach of support for families experiencing vulnerability.

Matching pools allow funding to go further by encouraging shared responsibility across the sector and strengthening collective impact.

This is the kind of collaboration we value, thoughtful, strategic and focused on long-term outcomes for children and families.
