What happens when we move beyond debate, beyond difference and simply sing together?

Meet Me in the Field is a free Festival of Dangerous Ideas pop-in created in partnership with Creativity Australia and With One Voice, inviting audiences into a shared moment of revelation and human connection.

Inspired by Rumi’s poem Out Beyond Ideas of Wrongdoing and Rightdoing, the session offers a special space to gather, unite, lift our voices and experience the force of singing and breathing together as one.

No experience needed. Just bring your voice.

Sunday 23rd August, 11:15am at Carriageworks.

This August, Creativity Australia is running Try a Choir Week - a national campaign encouraging everyone to experience the joy of singing together. We’re investing our energy, resources and media relationships into spreading one simple message: There’s a choir out there for everyone. And we’d love your choir to be part of it!

Our With One Voice choirs aren't just teaching people how to sing; we're building a national movement against loneliness. Take our With One Voice Sydney choir for example, where members of all walks of life come together to share in the joy of music and community connection.

Currently, around 70% of our 1,600 members rely on some form of concession or subsidy to participate in choir. Especially now, as the cost of living crisis places immense pressure on our households, your support is the reason these members don't have to choose between a grocery bill and their community that provides a place for joy, connection, and friendship.

Your donation directly subsidises participation for people facing financial hardship. It ensures that when someone in your community reaches out for connection, there is a seat and a song waiting for them.

Everyone seems to be feeling the cost of living crisis in one way or another, but none more so than those who are already experiencing financially hardship.

If you’re following us, you likely already know the positive impact our choirs have on improving participants’ mental health and social wellbeing through the power of song.
