💜 CHANGE THE STORY — TOGETHER, WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE 💜

Meaningful change begins with honest conversations, mutual respect, and communities coming together. 🤝

Through the funds raised at the VAAUS Grand Reunion in November 2025, we are proud to support the Change the Story initiative, providing funding to CDNI and ALO Enlighten Women to create opportunities for dialogue, understanding and action towards safer, more respectful and inclusive communities.

🎥 We’re proud to look back at the CDNI “Men’s Voice for Women’s Safety” community events, including the session held on 8 June and the second session on 2 August, both proudly supported by VAAUS.

These events brought people from diverse backgrounds together to have meaningful conversations about the important role men can play in promoting women’s safety and creating positive change.

➡️ Viqarunnisa Alumni Australia (VAAUS) partnered with former MasterChef Australia finalist Kishwar Chowdhury to host Flavours of Home, an event that celebrated Bengali culture while raising support for the next generation of chefs in Bangladesh.

➡️ At the event, Kishwar shared her journey from cooking traditional Bengali dishes at home to showcasing them on MasterChef Australia. She also spoke about KCC WINGS, her initiative that provides culinary training and career opportunities for underserved young people from Korail.

➡️ To support the initiative, VAAUS presented a charity cheque of AUD 5,000 to KCC WINGS, reflecting its commitment to creating meaningful social impact.

➡️"Through KCC WINGS, I want to create opportunities for underprivileged young people from Korail who simply need someone to believe in them. Seeing VAAUS share that belief by choosing to invest in someone else's future makes this journey even more meaningful," said Kishwar Chowdhury.

➡️ Former VAAUS President and Advisor Dr. Suranjana Jennifer Rahman said, "VAAUS believes true education extends beyond the classroom and can create meaningful change in society."

➡️ The event brought together the Bengali community in Australia and turned a celebration of heritage into an opportunity to create a better future for aspiring young chefs.
