I revisited a great outdoor dining spot in the west this week, which underwent a recent makeover in both its ambiance and menu. Joined by the local Ladies that Lunch group, we entered a bright and open space with stunning water views towards the city.

The venue consists of three dining areas: an open-air section with picnic-style tables, umbrellas, and a fire pit; a spacious area with high bar-style seating and dining tables under a new roof adorned with festoon lights and new flooring; and a protected dining space in a large, windowed container—all with beautiful views.

The newer more diverse menu featured pizzas like Margherita, Gamberi (with prawns), Prosciutto Di San Daniele, Capricciosa, Salami, and my choice for the day, the Verde—featuring asparagus, broccolini, cavalo nero, garlic, for di late, herbs plus Share plates included Stuffed Zucchini Flowers, Roasted Cauliflower, and Chargrilled Asparagus and full meals.

Our group sampled pizzas, Crumbed Chicken Cotaletta, Caesar Salad, Shoestring Fries, and desserts like Vanilla Panna Cotta and Chocolate Mousse with Vanilla Mascarpone, followed by well liked coffee.

The bar offered a variety of brews from the well-known CBCo Brewing on tap or in cans, wines, and cocktails such as Jalapeno & Smoked Pineapple Margarita, Whiskey Sour with Stawrad, and Watermelon Mojito with Stolen Blanco.

I love the vibe of this venue and can't wait to return on a beautiful day for leisurely drinks with friends or dinner under the shimmering lights overlooking the ocean.

Open Thursday to Sunday, 12 pm - 9 pm.

Latin Alert!

We are excited to see what the very new Latin American eatery Lola Melona bring to Saltwater (Point Cook) in the coming months while they grow into their space.

We visited today and tried a range of dishes from their Intro Menu that included Huevos Rancheros, Arepa con Huevo and my fave of the day El Mejor plus special order Nachos, Empanadas and share plates💗

They also have local faves including Deluxe Pancakes, Smashed Avo, coffees & cold drinks like Hibiscus or Guava plus milkshakes, iced matcha etc.

Having just received their liquor licence they are keenly curating their new menu and are encouraging locals to reach out and suggest what cocktails they would love to see on offer!

*Dietary requirements happily catered for and Vegetarian and Vegan options on offer also

WHERE: Williams Landing
WHO: Luminous Restaurant and Bar

We recently lunched at a newly opened local restaurant in the Williams Landing Shopping Centre building.

The venue has nice vibe with outside dining and inside dining and lovely staff happy to hear any requests and answer any questions.

Our group was of decent size with 14 people. We all ordered at once. Food came out fairly quickly bar one meal but to be expected with a large group.

The menu is a good size with a decent range without being overwhelming and the group found it reasonably priced.

Some dishes on the menu are White Anchovy Bruschetta, Southern Fried Chicken Tenders, Risotto Verde, Spaghetti Marinara, Fish Burgers and Scotch Fillet with Duck Fat Roast Potatoes..

Everyone enjoyed their meals and are very keen to see the business grow and succeed.

The restaurant is easy to get to with lots of parking within a couple minutes of walking at most.

They have a Valentines Special coming up $59 per person and ongoing $30 lunch special Monday to Thursday which includes an entree, main & drink.
