The Victorian Indigenous Research Centre is a community-driven initiative providing an identified space within State Library Victoria for the Indigenous Victorian Aboriginal community. The Victorian Indigenous Research Centre (VIRC) allows for and encourages the continuous sharing of knowledge beyond research. This supports Indigenous ways of learning as an organic process that defines how space i

s used and developed. VIRC key objectives are focused on:

Connecting community to the collection
Supporting Indigenous research
Embedding Indigenous knowledge practice
Providing a community gathering space
Sharing Indigenous research
Engaging with community on Country
