**💙🙌 Celebrating Our Volunteers – The Heart of WSTC 🙌💙**

Before anything else… a massive shout‑out to our incredible volunteers. Every race morning, they’re out there setting up, marshalling, cheering, supporting athletes, keeping things safe, and making the whole event run smoothly. The atmosphere we all love at WSTC exists because of them.

We’ve welcomed so many new athletes this season, and our volunteer crew has stepped up beautifully to support that growth. Their energy, reliability, and good humour are a huge part of what makes race day special.

And remember — we’re always looking for more volunteers. Whether you’re a long‑time member, brand new to the club, or just keen to be part of the action, we’d love to have you involved. You can even volunteer AND race on the same day if you want. Plenty of our athletes do both, and it works brilliantly.

📸🔥 Race 2 Photos Are Up! 🔥📸

Race 2 delivered another fantastic morning — perfect conditions, huge smiles, and an incredible number of **new athletes** joining us both from within WSTC and from the wider triathlon community. For every first‑timer, today was officially a **PB**, and we absolutely love to see it.

The race day photos are now available, and once again a massive thank you goes to Peter Gates, who was back behind the lens capturing all the action, effort, and joy out on course. His work brings the whole day to life.

🏁🔥 Race 2 Wrap‑Up – What a Day! 🔥🏁

Race 2 of the 2026 Duathlon Season is officially done and dusted, and what a fantastic morning it was. We had an incredible turnout with **so many new athletes** — both brand‑new to WSTC and brand‑new to the world of triathlon. Seeing fresh faces out on course is one of the best parts of what we do.

Conditions were absolutely perfect, and for all our first‑timers… congratulations, you’ve just earned yourself a PB. That first finish line is always special.

Race 2 of the 2026 Duathlon Series is almost here, landing on Sunday 16 August, and it’s shaping up to be another massive morning at WSTC.

Victoria University are recruiting adults with diagnosed or suspected tibialis posterior tendinopathy (TPT) for a Victoria University pilot rehabilitation trial.

💪 Advice, education and exercise rehabilitation
🗓️ 12 weeks, with only three clinic visits
📍 Victoria University Osteopathy Teaching Clinic, Melbourne CBD
💸 Four $25 gift card vouchers provided as reimbursement

Participants will be randomly allocated to one of two groups. Both groups will receive current best-practice education and advice, and one group will receive an additional exercise program.

We knew we had a big field to process, so we brought in the big guns with the latest cutting‑edge technology (as you can see in the picture…). Nothing but the finest vintage computing power for WSTC.

The donuts were a massive hit too — especially with the kids, who seemed to have a sixth sense for locating the pink‑iced ones.

**🍩🌏 International Donut Day + Race Season Kick‑Off! 🌏🍩**

Today is International Donut Day, and honestly… it feels like a WSTC‑endorsed holiday. Consider it the perfect warm‑up for what’s coming next.

Because on Sunday 19 July 2026, we launch straight into Race #1 — and it’s going to be huge.
This year’s opener is part of the Triathlon Australia Duathlon Series, with the Sprint distance earning valuable points for athletes chasing their season goals.
