On 8th March 2025, the Global Humanitarian Aid Foundation (GHAF) organized a compassionate outreach event in Kavadiguda, a locality in Hyderabad, India, to support underprivileged individuals and families in the area.

As part of GHAF’s ongoing efforts to fight hunger and uplift vulnerable communities, freshly prepared cooked meals were distributed to those in need. The event saw a strong turnout, with many individuals attending to receive a warm meal served with dignity and care.

GHAF Brings Joy to Children with Disabilities in Sri Lanka

On the 12th of April 2025, the Global Humanitarian Aid Foundation (GHAF) carried out a compassionate outreach initiative in Galle, Southern Province, Sri Lanka. In the spirit of the upcoming Sinhala and Tamil New Year, GHAF extended meaningful support to a local children’s home for children with disabilities by distributing essential and thoughtfully selected items.

A total of 55 children received brand-new clothing, specially tailored to fit each child based on individual measurements taken during a prior visit — ensuring comfort and dignity for every recipient. Alongside the clothing, GHAF also provided cake, bananas, chocolate, biscuits, toys, and purses — bringing joy and celebration to children who rarely have access to such treats.

For many of these children, receiving clothing that fits them comfortably and treats that are not often accessible felt deeply personal and necessary. This initiative was more than just a distribution of goods; it was an act of love, care, and genuine connection. The children’s smiles and excitement were a powerful reminder of the impact that thoughtful, compassionate support can have on their lives.

A Heartwarming Initiative by GHAF at the Disabled Elders and Childrens' Home in Galle, Sri Lanka

From March 12th to 14th, 2025, the Global Humanitarian Aid Foundation (GHAF) came together to bring some much-needed care and support to the Disabled Elders & Childrens' Home in the Southern Province of Galle District, Sri Lanka. During these three days, GHAF volunteers served afternoon refreshments, including warm tea, to 55 elderly residents who have long been without adequate support.

In addition to the tea, volunteers prepared and served a nourishing dinner, offering comfort and a sense of dignity to those who often face a life of scarcity. The home, which is in desperate need of basic resources, is home to elderly residents who have been neglected for years, with many surviving without proper meals for extended periods.

It was a truly eye-opening experience to witness such conditions in the heart of Galle, a city often associated with beauty and vibrancy. The situation faced by these elderly residents, including young children in desperate need of care, highlights the importance of community action and humanitarian efforts.

On February 26th, 2025, the Global Humanitarian Aid Foundation (GHAF) extended a lifeline to 120 elderly people living with disabilities in the remote villages of Southern Sri Lanka. Despite the challenging conditions – heavy rains, difficult terrain, and seclusion – GHAF volunteers bravely made their way to the hard-to-reach regions of Beliatta, Palapotha, Marassa, Ilukmulla, and Wiriththamulla, to provide much-needed support to those facing severe hardships.

Living in forested areas far from basic amenities, these individuals have been enduring tremendous struggles in isolation. But GHAF's unwavering commitment brought relief directly to their doorstep.

The day began with a heartfelt gesture – a warm, cooked breakfast of milk rice, nourishing both body and soul for the elderly disabled community. But GHAF didn’t stop there. They also provided a comforting lunch, complete with a delicious jelly dessert, ensuring that these individuals felt cared for and valued.

This event stands as a testament to GHAF's mission to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it the most, no matter the obstacles.
