Sometimes, the pain of a chronic leg ulcer caused by sickle cell disorder can suddenly come like an electric shock to deliver excruciating aches physically and mentally.
Nevertheless, we shall survive and overcome it and sickle cell disorder,
In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.

Sometimes and most times,
The pain of a chronic leg ulcer caused by sickle cell disorder is constantly present.
We eat and drink in pain,
We work and play in pain,
We sleep and wake in pain,
We bath and dress up in pain,
Everything is done in pain.
May God help us put a quick end to chronic leg ulcers and sickle cell disorder,
In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.

It is to end sickle cell disorder quickly.

Toyin, you carried storms within your veins,
Yet greeted the world with courage instead of complaint.
Where pain sought to silence you,
You answered with purpose.
Where struggle tried to diminish you,
You stood taller.

You became a voice for the unheard,
A beacon for those navigating long hospital nights,
A reminder that strength is not the absence of suffering,
But the decision to keep going through it.

You wore your battles openly,
Not for sympathy, but for change.
You turned your wounds into wisdom,
Your journey into advocacy,
And your life into a testimony of resilience.

Many saw the warrior,
But those who knew you also saw the kindness—
The gentle encouragement,
The unwavering hope,
The light you shared even on difficult days.

Though your earthly fight has ended,
Your impact remains.
In every patient who feels seen,
In every advocate who finds their voice,
In every life touched by your compassion.

Today, we mourn your passing,
But we also celebrate your legacy.
For warriors like you do not truly leave us;
They live on in the hearts they strengthened,
The causes they championed,
And the love they inspired.

Rest peacefully, Toyin.

Your pain has ceased,
