After a successful first placement at Akesa Pharma, they jumped on board for round two.

Our Victorian University High School student, Geeta Noori, spent two weeks shadowing the CFO and Akesa's broader finance team. Her enthusiasm for learning and her keen interest in all things business is exactly what we love seeing in our students.

Thank you Sakshi Banthia for sharing your experiences and advice with Geeta so that she could turn up on day one at her first corporate placement as confident and prepared as she can be.

Having been our first ever employer to take part in our pilot program, we are grateful to Akesa for continuing to support our students and our vision. We look forward to continuing this partnership and together enhance the career prospects for the next generation.

Having now completed our pilot program, we have been busy listening, tweaking and exploring new and exciting opportunities to share with our community of students, mentors and employers. We look forward to opening the doors to some new employers and welcoming back some of our OGs. Let's go round two!

After an extended break, we are back and we are more excited than ever to start planning all the wonderful placements for our 2025 students.

But first, let's reflect on the experiences of our Victoria University High School students .saeed and (pictured), who spent two weeks at with their Development and Construction & Projects team. With a carefully structured two week program especially tailored for grades 10-12 students of refugee and migrant backgrounds, these students gained invaluable insight into the life of a corporate lawyer and have now gained access to a whole new network of professionals to lean on for guidance.

Thank you Hoda Solaymani-Jamal and Mai Go for taking the time out of your busy lives to mentor Lydia and Biak in preparation for their two weeks at Maddocks. Your guidance and support means that our students are well equipped to transition into their corporate placements seamlessly.

If you are interested in jumping on board, either as an employer or a mentor and change the course of these students' lives, please give us a shout! We would love to hear from you.
