Most of us have never actually thought about how loud a music festival or concert is in real terms, we just know it's loud and we love it. But when you put the numbers next to each other, it starts to make a lot more sense why your ears feel the way they do the morning after.

Safe listening starts dropping off at 85dB. A typical music festival runs at 110–115dB. That gap is bigger than it sounds — and every time you're in it without any protection, your ears are doing their best to keep up. Just remember to give your ears a break every now and then 🧡

Your ears have been to every show you’ve ever been to. Every festival, every late night, and every time the speaker was too close. They’ve never once asked for anything back.

Honest question — when’s the last time you actually thought about your hearing at a concert or festival?

Most of us never do. We walk out with ringing ears, shake it off by morning, and move on. We made this carousel for everyone who has done exactly that, which is pretty much all of us.

Swipe through and let us know if this sounds familiar.👂

Hey, we're Hear Me Out — an Australian campaign for people who love live music and want to keep loving it for a long time.

Most of us have felt it. You walk out of a show, your ears are ringing, your mate says something and you're basically lip-reading. You laugh it off, get home, go to sleep, and by morning it's gone. So you forget about it.

We're not here to ruin the fun. We're here to have an honest conversation about something that quietly affects almost every young Australian who goes to concerts, festivals, or raves — and to make it really simple to do something about it.

Follow the page, share it with someone who was at the last show with you, and stick around. We promise it's worth it.
