As winter takes hold, demand for care at Sandringham Hospital is rising ❄️💙. We’re preparing for an increase in respiratory illness, flu-related complications, and injuries, and we need your help.

Your support will help fund vital equipment like patient monitors, plaster saws and a portable imaging machine. From babies in need of urgent care to elderly neighbours facing winter illness, your donation will make a real difference.

Last month, we were honoured to host Sandringham Hospital’s annual fundraiser, Lunch by the Bay. 🌊💙

Thanks to our generous guests, Community Bank Sandringham and event supporters, we’re delighted to share that two atom infant warmers will be purchased to enhance care for babies at Sandringham Hospital.

Yesterday marked 62 years since the official opening of Sandringham and District Memorial Hospital.

Community support and fundraising to build the hospital date back to the early 1940s, when Sandringham Council offered to make a suitable site available to the Department of Defence Co-ordination for a military hospital. The donation of land sparked almost 25 years of community advocacy and fundraising before the hospital finally became a reality.

The generosity and determination of the local community created a lasting legacy. Today, more than 75,000 people receive care each year at Sandringham Hospital, and community support and fundraising remain as important as ever. 💙

This week, as our staff enjoyed delicious scones thanks to Community Bank Sandringham, we were delighted to share some wonderful news with them. Community Bank Sandringham has generously committed to funding Sandringham Hospital’s staff wellbeing program again in 2026.
We are incredibly grateful for Community Bank Sandringham's continued support in helping us care for the people who care for our community. We can’t wait to share the love with our hardworking team again next year. 💙
