A lot has been happening these past few months… but wait until you hear this one!

To celebrate Diversity Week, next Sunday Chiquitines Cultural Workshop Inc. will be offering a very special FREE prop-making workshop so you can join Murga Madre’s colourful Carnival Parade! 🥁✨

After creating your props, stay for a Murga Dance Workshop and learn the joyful rhythms and steps of Carnival.

💃 No experience required
🎨 All materials provided

If you have a red, teal or yellow top, bring it along and we can decorate it together for the parade!

All you need to bring is:

As we approach the end of the year, we would like to wish you all a joyful festive season and a very Merry Christmas. We wish you every success, rest, and good health in the New Year.
To the schools and festivals that have engaged with our programs this year, thank you for the opportunity to work with your student and teacher communities, it has been a pleasure.
For those who are new to our work, we are a multidisciplinary arts organisation with over 20 years’ experience delivering interactive, multisensory, and ludic learning experiences in schools and other educational organisations. We support culturally-sensitive and curriculum-linked events.
We offer everything from full-day school incursions with parallel workshops to single presentations tailored to your students and learning objectives.
We look forward to another year of creative and cultural learning together.

Thank you Maroondah City Council for having us at the Maroondah Festival 2025! What a day filled with Latin American activities, including Chilean Cueca by Los Amigos De La Cueca, Argentine music by https://www.facebook.com/elena.zalez/photos_albums, a yerba mate stall kindly supported by Yerba Maté Australia and Chilean empanadas with pebre cooking demonstration and tasting, supported by Empanadas Las Peñas!

A day full of amazing activities!
Come and visit our Latin American activities at the https://www.maroondah.vic.gov.au/Explore/Things-to-see-and-do-in-Maroondah/Maroondah-Festival/Maroondah City Council
Come and try out Yerba Mate tea kindly donated by Yerba Maté Australia! 10am-4pm in the Cultural Precinct.
Bring your dancing shoes to learn Cueca with Los Amigos De La Cueca at 10:30am at the Community Stage.
Learn the secrets of Chilean "empanada and pebre cooking" with Julio and Jose at 11am in the Cultural Precinct's Global Kitchen. Don't forget to take your tasting kit including the recipe.
Join the journey of Argentine rhythms, including favourite bilingual global kids songs by Elena Zalez at 2:30pm in the Cultural Stage.
To end up the Maroondah City Council Festival on a big dancing note, join the Main Stage with La Descarga 3pm - 4pm!
The day is full of Latin American opportunities. Practice your Spanish without leaving Victoria!
