🏮Experience the Cultural of Lion Dance on 2nd Feb 2025! The Chinese Lunar New Year Festival 2025! (CLNY 2025)

🦁Lion dance:
Lion dance, as a treasure of Chinese folk art, the lion symbolizes courage and auspiciousness. On festive occasions, lion dance is an important activity to drive away evil and welcome good luck. Lion dancers need to have martial arts skills, two people cooperate, lion head and lion tail, show the power and flexibility of the lion.

🦁Xingshi belongs to the southern lion in the Chinese lion dance. Lion awakening is a cultural activity integrating martial arts, dance and music.

Among them, ”Caiqing“ 🥬is the essence of the lion, with the process of starting, bearing, turning, and combining, with drama and story. ”Caiqing“ after changes, derived a variety of routines, widely spread.

In the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year of the Snake, MCBA invites you to experience this cultural feast in Melbourne‘s Chinatown.

This Chinese Lunar New Year, the Melbourne Chinatown Business Association (MCBA) will host the Chinese Lunar New Year Festival 2025 (CLNY) in Chinatown. As an organization officially recognized by the City of Melbourne, MCBA is committed to revitalizing and empowering the business and culture of Chinatown through innovative projects, strategic partnerships, and community engagement.

Chinese Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is the most important traditional festival in Asian society, symbolizing family reunions, harmony, and new beginnings.
