The Catalyst Really Really Free Market (RRFM) is a weekly popup free rescued-food grocer based out of Catalyst Social Centre (Coburg). We rescue and redistribute as much food as possible to the wider community for free. Like the former Preston RRFM, we operate on the principles of mutual aid and the gift economy, with the aim to shed light on both food waste and food injustice. We are a project of
radical sharing and and rejecting the alienation of the capitalist economy. Anyone with capacity can join in and help us rescue and distribute food! Currently, food rescue runs are on Tuesday nights, meeting at the rear garden of Catalyst Social Centre at sunset. Come along on a Wednesday and/or join our community signal chat to get involved. The Catalyst RRFM operates out of Catalyst Social Centre in Coburg, on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri, Woiwurrung, and Boonwurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation. We set up every Wednesday from 11am until 5pm, followed by a free hot meal by Food Not Bombs from 7pm. We also have a food donations and emergency food relief number: 0413861748
