Our highly respected Honorary Auditor, Mr. Charles Kwong, completed our club's 2025–2026 financial audit on 24 June and has now officially retired.
Mr. Kwong has served the club on a voluntary basis for more than thirty years. We would like to express our deepest gratitude and highest respect for his selfless dedication and professionalism.
We sincerely wish him good health, happiness, peace, and every success in his retirement.

本會於6月23日舉辦「固體香水及全效修護油工作坊」。邀請了自然護理導師Lily Giuliano 主講及指導學員親手使用植物萃取香薰，製作屬個人使用的天然護理產品。過程中學員加深認識天然植物萃取物。衷心感謝Lily導師的專業分享. We held the “Solid Perfume and All‑Purpose Repair Oil Workshop” on 23 June. We invited natural care instructor Lily Giuliano to lead the session and guide participants in creating their own natural personal‑care products using plant‑based aromatic extracts. Throughout the process, participants deepened their understanding of natural botanical extracts. We sincerely thank Instructor Lily for her professional sharing.

本會的樂隊於6月22日到Nazareth care Camberwell 探訪住院院友. 本會樂隊歌唱及樂隊伴奏均精彩絕倫和增添愉快氣氛；院友及在場者都給予一致好評和享受美妙樂韻。衷心感謝本會的樂隊在百忙之中抽空到老人院用愛心演出和慰問住院的長者。Our band visited Nazareth Care Camberwell on June 22, to perform for the residents. Both the singing and the band accompaniment were outstanding and created a joyful atmosphere. The residents and everyone present gave unanimous praise and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful music.We sincerely thank our band members for taking time out of their busy schedules to perform with such love and care, bringing comfort and warmth to the elderly residents.

本會於5月7日至6月25日與Park Orchards Community House合辦「日常英語班」。課程是內容是教導非英語人士使用英語於日常生活中。導師Tony設計簡單英語對話，將學員分成小組，互相實習。Tony並教導及示範正確發音，並設即場翻譯專員，解除語言上的障礙。課程完結時，學員已經可以在社區中說日常用的英語。學員一致讚賞這個課程十分實用，對他們在墨爾本生活有很大幫助。衷心感謝Park Orchards Community House導師Tony的專業教導及翻譯專員Elaine的幫助。

We partnered the “Everyday English” course with Park Orchards Community House from 7 May to 25 June. The course was designed to help non‑English speakers use English in daily life. Instructor Tony created simple English dialogues and divided participants into small groups for practice. He also taught and demonstrated correct pronunciation, and an interpreter, Elaine, was arranged to help remove the language barriers. By the end of the course, participants were able to use everyday English confidently in the community. Everyone praised that the course was highly practical and extremely helpful for their life in Melbourne.
We sincerely thank Park Orchards Community House, Instructor Tony for his professional teaching, and Interpreter Elaine for her support.

本會於5月7日至6月25日與Park Orchards Community House合辦「電子設備班」課程內容是使用電子設備於日常生活中。電子設備如手機、手提電腦、Tablet、 iPad等。導師Tony耐心仔細指導學員並循循善誘。課程完結時，學員能自信獨立地使用電子設備中的應用程式於日常生活之中。衷心感謝Protect Community House及導師Tony的專業指導。We co-organised the course “Digital Devices Class” with Park Orchards Community House from 7 May to 25 June. The course focused on using electronic devices in daily life, including mobile phones, laptops, tablets, iPads and more. The instructor, Tony, provided patient and detailed guidance, teaching step by step and encouraging learners throughout the process. By the end of the course, participants were able to confidently and independently use various applications on their electronic devices in daily situations.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to Park Orchards Community House and to instructor Tony for their professional instruction.

本會與Park Orchard Community House合辦課程:「如何使用人工智慧班」， 由5月6日至6月24日，共八堂，教導及透過實習使用人工智慧規劃假期， 制定預算，撰寫文件， 尋找食譜，修改相片等。學員於課程完結時已建立良好自信與技巧, 使用人工智慧於日常生活中。衷心感謝Park Orchard Community House 及導師Tony 的耐性仔細教導。We co-organised a course “How to Use Artificial Intelligence” with Park Orchard Community House. The program ran from 6 May to 24 June, comprising eight sessions. Through instruction and hands‑on practice, participants learned to use AI for holiday planning, budgeting, document writing, recipe searching, photo editing, and more. By the end of the course, participants had developed strong confidence and practical skills in applying AI to everyday life. We express our heartfelt gratitude to Park Orchard Community House and to the instructor Tony for his patient and meticulous teaching.

本會於6月24日邀請了澳洲服務部財務資訊服務主任Mr. Qinghao Jia主講午間講座。題目是「大屋換細屋」。內容是有關你的住所選擇，在那些情況下應考慮大屋換細屋，及其他選擇方法；因此，退休金有沒有受到影響？Mr. Jia 用普通話仔細解釋，並即場回答問題。令出席者清楚瞭解這項選擇及帶出相關情況。衷心感謝Mr Jia的專業分享. We invited Mr. Qinghao Jia, Director of Financial Information Services of Service Australia, to deliver the lunchtime talk on 24 June. The topic was “Downsizing Your Home”. The content covered how to choose the right type of housing, in what situations one should consider moving from a larger home to a smaller one, and what alternative options are available. It also addressed whether such a move would affect one’s state pension. Mr. Jia explained the topic in detail in Mandarin and answered questions on the spot, enabling participants to clearly understand this option and the related circumstances. We sincerely thank Mr. Jia for his professional sharing.

本會於6月15日邀請了陳志威先生（資深齋店總廚）舉辦「素食研究班」。陳先生講解、示範、與學員一齊動手烹調三餸一湯。烹調後，一同品嚐，在席間獲學員一致好評。衷心感謝陳志威先生的專業分享。We invited Mr. Chan Chi Wai (Senior Vegetarian Restaurant Head Chef) to hold a "Vegetarian Cooking Workshop” on 15 June 2026. Mr. Chan explained, demonstrated, and cooked hands-on with the participants three dishes and one soup. After cooking, everyone tasted the food together, he was receiving unanimous praise from the participants. We sincerely thank Mr. Chan Chi Wai for his professional sharing.

本會於6月17日邀請了澳洲華人健康促進會經理余劉美甜女士，舉辦午間講座。講題是「華人長者在澳洲面對的隱性種族歧視」。余女士解釋語言障礙引起的醫療服務中不平等對待，長者因害怕而選擇沉默；建議長者及新移民及其家庭如何建立自信，解決偏見對待，令出席者得益不少。衷心感謝余女士的專業知識的分享。

We invited Mrs. Mei Yu, Manager of the Chinese Health Foundation of Australia, on 17 June to deliver a lunchtime seminar. The topic was “The Hidden Racial Discrimination Faced by Chinese Seniors in Australia.”Ms. Yu explained how language barriers can lead to unequal treatment in healthcare services, and many seniors choose to remain silent out of fear. She offered practical advice for seniors, new migrants, and their families on building confidence and addressing discriminatory behaviour, which greatly benefited the participants.

本會的書法組於6月16日下午四時至五時在Doncaster圖書館舉行「端午節書法書籖工作坊」，與在場者分享書法創作書籖，互相祝福平安健康。在場者有男女老幼，中外人士，都一齊參與創作的創作書籖，享受書寫的樂趣，場面溫馨又熱鬧。衷心感謝書法組的藝術書法分享。

Our Calligraphy Group held a “Dragon Boat Festival Calligraphy Bookmark Workshop” at Doncaster Library on 16 June from 4 pm to 5 pm. Participants were invited to create calligraphy bookmarks and exchange blessings of peace and good health. People of all ages and backgrounds—men, women, children, locals and people from different cultures, joined in the creative process, enjoying the joy of writing together. The atmosphere was warm, lively, and full of positive energy.
We sincerely thank the Calligraphy Group for sharing their artistic calligraphy with everyone.
