Lara Dizayee, the epitome of a cultural icon!!!! Her appearance at the Paris fashion show was more than a mere exhibition of garments, it was a statement of defiance against conformity.

Lara, the amazingly talented Kurdish fashion designer is a true global citizen. Born in Austria and raised in the United States, Lara proudly embraces her Kurdish lineage, beautifully merging her cultural influences into a bold celebration of identity, the synthesis of heritage and the avant-garde. Her remarkable fashion journey from working in oil and gas industry to turning herself into a fashion designer is imbued with the spirit of her renowned father, the King of Kurdish music, Homer Dizayee, whose legacy she carries with grace and strength. And more remarkably, he was present at the Parisian Halls of the fashion show 💝 and I shed more tears witnessing a glimpse of my fave childhood singer!

We would like to congratulate her, for not just representing our community, but mainly and proudly for being outstandingly bold yet eloquently weaving together the threads of tradition and contemporary aesthetics which will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark on the fashion industry. Thank you for challenging the status quo, not listening to nay-sayers, encouraging us to question preconceived notions and to embrace the ever-evolving nature of fashion and style.
