Child Abuse Squad Arrest in Wagga Wagga

A Stark Reminder of Why We Fight.On Friday, April 24, 2026, detectives from the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse Squad executed a search warrant at a home in Wagga Wagga. A 33-year-old man was arrested following an investigation into the indecent assault of two children (aged 12 and 13) between 2023 and 2025.The Disturbing Reality:During the search, police seized an endoscope camera, CCTV equipment, and mobile phones. This wasn't just a "chance" encounter; this was allegedly calculated and technological.The Charges:The man faces six serious charges, including:3 counts of intentionally performing a s*xual act with a child (10-16yrs).2 counts of intentional s*xual touching.Aggravated filming of a person in a private act without consent.

The Outrage:Despite the severity of these allegations and the evidence seized, the individual has been granted strict conditional bail. He is scheduled to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on June 30, 2026

This case proves that predators are using increasingly sophisticated technology to target and record our children. It also highlights the ongoing frustration with the bail system. How can someone facing these specific "aggravated" charges be back in the community while awaiting trial?We need national standards.

A National Safety Net is Finally Here! 🇦🇺

Big news for our community and everyone fighting for child safety in Australia. As of late last month, the National Early Childhood Worker Register is officially live.

Why does this matter?
For too long, it was too easy for people with "red flags" to jump across state borders and start fresh in a new childcare center. This register is designed to close those gaps. It’s a national database that tracks workers' credentials and safety history, making it much harder for anyone to hide a dangerous past.

What we’re watching:
While this is a massive win, a register is only as good as its enforcement. We’ll be keeping a close eye on how data is shared between states like Victoria and NSW to ensure no one slips through the cracks.

We’ve all seen the posts. A horrific story about a crime against a child, usually involving a "quote" from an offender that makes your blood boil. You want to share it. You want to scream.

Stop. That is exactly what they want.

Many of these viral "news" stories are 100% fake. They are engineered by "Engagement Farmers" who use the most disgusting subjects imaginable just to drive traffic to their pages.

Why it matters:

It's Disrespectful: Using the concept of child abuse to get "likes" is lower than low.

It’s Dangerous: When we share fake news, we muddy the waters. It makes it harder for real advocacy groups like POKA to get the truth out when an actual threat exists.

You are the Product: Every time you comment in rage, you are helping a "clickbaiter" make money off a lie.

At Protect Our Kids Australia we’re about the facts. If a story doesn't have a verified police report or a legitimate news source, it doesn't get past us.

Advocacy requires integrity. Don’t feed the fakes.

The Accountability of a Coward
The news that Arthur Freeman—the man who stole the life of four-year-old Darcey—was recently attacked in prison is a grim reminder of a crime that Australia will never forget.

At Protect Our Kids, we believe in a world where children are safe, cherished, and protected. Freeman’s actions on the West Gate Bridge were the ultimate violation of that belief. While the legal system handles his security, the community has already passed its judgment.

We don't celebrate violence, but we do demand accountability. Some betrayals are so profound that they sit outside the bounds of forgiveness.

A different kind of "teenager" making the news this week. 🇦🇺

After seeing some pretty dark stories coming out of the courts lately, I wanted to highlight something that actually gives me hope for the future .On Thursday, 49 Australian Navy Cadets sailed into Sydney Harbour on the HMAS Canberra.

These kids—some as young as 13—weren't just on a field trip. They were standing in formation, learning the values of service, and proving that grit and discipline are still alive and well in the next generation.

We talk a lot at POKA about protecting our kids from the "s**t ones" out there. But it’s just as important to celebrate the ones who are stepping up, working hard, and becoming the leaders we need.

Huge respect to these young legends and the mentors showing them the way.The future isn’t just something that happens to us—it’s something these kids are building right now.

WHEN IS ENOUGH, ENOUGH?

The details coming out of the NSW District Court this week are enough to make any Australian sick to their stomach.

A 15-year-old girl—a child—was allegedly lured into a Sydney hotel suite, held hostage, and subjected to "torture" and degradation that no human being should ever endure. Forced to eat off the floor like a dog before being r***d at knifepoint.

Where is the protection for our children? How does this happen in a major hotel in Parramatta without being detected? Why are these predators walking among us?

Protect Our Kids Australia is demanding more than just "thoughts and prayers." We are demanding a justice system that prioritizes the safety of the vulnerable over the rights of the violent.

Keep your eyes on this trial. We will not let this girl's story be swept under the rug.

WE ARE RAGING, POKA FAMILY! Just when you think the system can't sink any lower, it delivers another gut punch. A southern suburbs man in Adelaide, a supposed FOSTER CARER, has been arrested for horrific s*x crimes against FIVE VULNERABLE CHILDREN!

Let that sink in. A man entrusted with the care of children, a man who passed the "compliance checks" of the Department for Child Protection (DCP), used his position to abuse kids between 1998 and 2010, and then again from 2018 to 2025.

THIS IS A SYSTEMIC FAILURE OF EPIC PROPORTIONS.

If they are going to take a child off a parent or parent's, and accuse them of being unfit to parent, they need to be making dam sure that who ever they putting with is going to do a better job!

The DCP literally handed these kids to a monster on a silver platter. How many spreadsheets did he tick the boxes on? How many bureaucrats looked at his file and said, "Yep, looks good," while he was destroying lives? This is the so called system prioritizing data points and filling beds over the actual, physical safety of real children.

We are sick to our stomachs. These are not just "incidents"; these are shattered lives. And what does the system do? It hides behind red tape and jurisdictional silos. The NCCC delay—that sickening "3-year window"—means predators like this can slip through the cracks while the government twiddles its thumbs until 2029.

Notice something missing from the news reports? HIS NAME. HIS FACE.

The system has slammed the door shut. They claim it's about "privacy" and "legal process." We call it what it is: putting the victims last.

Why does a man accused of destroying five young lives get the luxury of an anonymous identity? Why is his "privacy" more important than the community's right to know who was entrusted with our most vulnerable children?

NO MORE EXCUSES.

We demand accountability. We demand that the DCP answer for how this predator was allowed to operate under their watch. We demand mandatory minimums that actually reflect the destruction these monsters cause. A "slap on the wrist" is an insult to every survivor.
